Another great ride to Bluefield West Virginia to eat at the Railyard then ride back into Tazewell Virginia to the back of the dragon once again….

**Google Review for The Railyard - Bluefield, WV** ⭐⭐⭐⭐ I had the pleasure of visiting The Railyard during a recent trip to Bluefield, West Virginia, and it turned out to be a delightful stop. Here's what stood out: The ambiance of The Railyard deserves special mention. It has this soothing, rustic charm that makes you feel relaxed the moment you walk in. It's the perfect blend of a restaurant and bar where you can unwind or catch up with friends. The menu might not be extensive, but what they do, they do well. The Cuban sandwich I ordered was above average, with perfectly toasted bread and a well-balanced filling that had just the right amount of zest. However, the star of my meal was the strawberry shake - it was creamy, fresh, and genuinely delicious, offering that nostalgic taste with a quality that surpasses many other places. One of the best parts about The Railyard is how reasonable the prices are. You get good quality food without feeling like you're breaking the bank, which is always a plus. While there's always room for a bit more variety in the menu or perhaps a few more unique local flavors, my experience at The Railyard was very satisfying. The service was friendly, the environment was welcoming, and I left with a desire to return. If you're in Bluefield, WV, and looking for a place to eat with a nice vibe, I'd recommend giving The Railyard a try. I'll definitely be back next time I'm in town!

Stopped with my boyfriend while we were passing through on a road trip. So happy to have found this place! The menu items had excellent variety and creativity. The cocktails (especially the house infusions) were creative and over-the-top—in a good way. Service was great and our server was knowledgeable, attentive and kind. We shared the popcorn shrimp (10/10), I got the Asian inspired salad (10/10), and my boyfriend got a burger (6/10). The burger didn’t look like anything special despite the exciting description on the menu. Didn’t stop us from really enjoying the experience, though! Glad we found it and I recommend it to anyone local or anyone passing through town.

Went here today and was excited about finding a new restaurant considering the limited ones we have in the area. The menu looked great. However I can seriously say that the excitement definitely diminished. When we arrived we seated ourselves and they weren't extremely busy they did have customers so we ordered our drinks and looked at the menu and we each ordered an appetizer and then a main. It seemed to be taking a while for the advertisers to come out within the next thing we know the appetizers are coming out with the mains which isn't the end of the world but definitely not the way we had wanted to eat everything. I Got the fried green tomatoes which sounded amazing As the menu stated that they were served on a bed of arugula. However they did not arrive on arugula, they arrived on a bed of parsley and the parsley was not in the best of conditions. Once removed from the parsley the tomatoes were not terrible. I also ordered a lunch duo with a tomato bisque and a 1/2 Havana sandwich. The soup was OK but it wasn't great it was really bland and the crackers served with it were stale, the sandwich would have been a lot better if the bread hadn't been so greasy. My dinner companion ordered the stout fried mushrooms and the salmon tacos. The mushrooms had no flavoring in the mushrooms themselves or the breading. The salmon tacos were also very bland as the salmon nor the breading had any seasoning at all, the red cabbage that was on the taco was just plain. So needless to say I doubt we will be returning we were seriously disappointed in the food and the service wasn't all that great either. As we told our server about our food And she couldn't seem more uninterested in our opinion. We were never offered refills on drinks or anything. Also we weren't greeted when arriving, so all in all was a very disappointing experience would not recommend people driving out here and being disappointed as well. Would rate a...

I visit the Railyard semi regularly as it is my go to restaurant whenever I head downtown, and usually have a fantastic experience, but my latest visit lacked the usual friendly service that they’ve had before. I asked to sit out on the patio (as I usually do) because it’s a very nice afternoon, and they said that was fine but that they’d be having some live music outside later in the evening and that it may get busy outside.

I initially assumed it was just a warning that it could get loud so I said it was okay and expressed that I was excited for the music. But during my visit there were little things that continued to make me feel unwelcome.

When I sat down I was given very little time to decide on my order (waitress asked me immediately before I even looked at the menu), and then took the menu away the moment my order was in. That was fine, I figured if I wanted a desert I could ask about it later. Well within less than 45 minutes of sitting down, and less than 25 of getting my food, I was brought my check without asking for it. No offering any boxes (my food was half eaten), no asking if I wanted a desert or shake (which I was planning to order). So I paid my bill (still tipped) and finished what I could of my drink and left.

Now I know these are very small things, but my previous experiences have always been fantastic so these instances stood out to me. I understand being busy and even wanting to prioritize large groups, but I am still and paying customer and I was the only person out on the patio, and this left a bitter...

We were there this past Friday 8/21 while on vacation with family. I can tell you it was the first and last time we will go there. It was 8 at night. Maybe 25 -30 people in the place. We gave our order and it all went down hill from there. Got our apps in about 20 minutes. Then it got even worse. We asked for the kids meal to come out asap. We'll that was another 15 minutes for Mac n cheese and chicken tenders. In between waiting for it we were told o it'll be out in 2 mins. So we are now been here 45 minutes. When I think his name was Brad I'm assuming he was Manager comes over says o we are buttoning up your food it'll be right out. We'll another 15 minutes goes bye we ask for food to be boxed up to go as we were tired from driving all day. And we had been there an hour no excuse for burgers and fried food to take that long. Should have taken 20 minutes tops for all of it. So we wait another ten minutes for that. Then Brad comes by offers us a card for a free app next visit. O boy. Then we go to pay check another 10 to 15 goes bye. My wife came back in to see what was talking so long to pay tell her waiting for them to bring cards back. They were at computer talking when she went over they told her computer was down. We were given 25% of our $150 bill. O boy we were there around an hour and a half and still hadn't ate took it home and it wasn't very good. Would not recommend. As a retired restaurant owner I can tell you this was probably the 2nd worst experience I've had at...
