Our family decided to try this new restaurant that is now located where an old favorite used to be. While we have been saddened that Greek Table is no longer in business, we definitely looked forward to the opportunity to try a new restaurant in Bluffton.
The decor has been updated to reflect a clean, modern look. The service was attentive without being cloying. The owners made sure to engage with every customer, down to my 1 yr old granddaughter. The gentleman owner offered us the jasmine tea. It was good once you let it take the time to fully steep (he said 5 minutes, but it needed about 15 for full flavor). The $10 charge for a pot of tea was a definite shocker. The presentation would probably have been better if you could actually see the tea blossoming in a clear infuser instead of a silver one.
My son had the pork belly and couldn't say enough positive about it. He especially liked the spicy sauce served on the side.
My daughter in law had the bbq pork ribs and fried rice. She's a very picky eater and enjoyed her meal for the most part. Her only disappointment was the heavy clove flavor to the fried rice, but she's never had Vietnamese food before and was expecting something like Chinese fried rice. She liked the bbq pork ribs.
I had the filet mignon with peppers, onions and rice dish. Honestly, I was underwhelmed. It was tasty, but if that was filet mignon, it was the toughest filet mignon I've ever. I ended up eating the vegetables instead of the meat.
My granddaughter had a little of everything and devoured it all with gusto. My only comment is to be mindful that highchair provided did not have safety straps and she slipped down the front. It was scary and dangerous. Thank goodness she wasn't hurt badly. She was quite shaken and it took a while to calm her down.
Each meal was delivered separately, so dinner took longer than expected. All in all, it was a pleasant experience, if a bit expensive for what you got. Thus the 4...
Read moreWhat great food! It was our first time there, so we ordered more than we normally would because we wanted to try different things. Our server was lovely. She was helpful and attentive. For starters, we got two different types of spring rolls and Vietnamese dumplings. What I always called a soft spring roll was made absolutely perfectly, and was served with an amazing peanut sauce. The steamed dumplings were definitely different from what were used to! They came wrapped in banana leaves, and were definitely more gelatinous than what we had had in the past from other Asian restaurants. However, they were good.
Our son got the beef pho, which was some of the best pho we’ve ever had! I tried the special curry chicken, and the curry was well rounded and a perfect blend of sweet and salty and spicy. My Husband got the Vietnamese pizza which he really liked.
Overall, we truly enjoyed trying something new and will definitely be back in the future. We hope more people find this little gem of...
Read moreMy family and I were in the area and were craving some food from our roots, Vietnamese food, and were surprised to find VN Pho close by. We stopped by and were greeted by a clean, aesthetically pleasing restaurant with welcoming owners. The menu was diverse and included Vietnamese restaurant staples. My family ordered their #24 (Broken Rice, BBQ Pork Chops, and Egg), #25 (Broken Rice and BBQ Pork), #26 (Fried Rice with Shrimp, Sausage, Egg, Carrots, and Green Beans), and #35 (Pan Fried Egg Noodles with a Combination of Meats). The food was solid and delicious Vietnamese food. Great portions and great balanced taste overall. A great find in an area we didn’t expect to find it! If you’re around Hilton Head and doing some shopping at the outlets,...
