Who has the best prime rib in Stark County? When that question came up recently in Taste of Stark, one name kept popping up — El Albatross in Bolivar. I hadn’t heard of it before, but after seeing the repeated shout-outs, I knew I had to check it out. While I didn’t make it on a Thursday (Prime Rib night — it’s happening soon!), I dove into the taco menu — and wow. The flavors are next-level. I ordered the Pat’s Pineapple Banger taco — slow-smoked pork shoulder with a touch of pineapple heat, tucked into a warm, double-stacked corn and flour tortilla and topped with crunchy slaw. I also added black bean and corn sauté right into the taco — and let me tell you, it was the perfect combo. Every bite was sweet, smoky, fresh, and packed with bold flavor. I also tried the shrimp taco, which was equally delicious with a citrusy brightness and great texture. They also offer handcrafted pizzas and daily specials, so there’s always something new to try — and the drink menu features unique spirits and cocktails you won’t find just anywhere. Owner Zach Salapack, formerly of Sublime Smoke, has created something really special here — a laid-back, flavor-forward spot where his passion for food really shines. He was super friendly and shared the origin story behind the name El Albatross — a story worth asking him about when you visit. They also cater and host private events, so keep them in mind for your next gathering. 📲 Check out the full menu at elalbatross.com and give them a follow on Facebook for daily specials and updates. I’ll definitely be back for Prime Rib Thursday — but in the meantime, I’ll be dreaming about those tacos. 📍 El Albatross – Bolivar, OH 👨‍🍳 Tell Zach you saw it on Taste of Stark! #TasteOfStark #ElAlbatross #BolivarEats #PrimeRibCravings #TacoLove #ShrimpTacoGoals #PizzaAndMore #SupportLocal #Loveyourboobs

Best chicken tacos in Tuscarawas County! Since my weekend plans got postponed, I decided to enjoy a chicken taco since they've become a Facebook rage overnight. I splurged and even decided to pay the tariffs for an official shot of Mexican tequila and Dos Equis beer. 😉😂

Came in to get dinner on Monday 5/19. I sat at the bar top and handed the younger gentleman my ID. I was not going to get an alcoholic drink I just wanted to order some food to go since I’m out of town for work. The younger gentleman with blond highlights looked my ID over and clearly not finding anything unusual says to me “sorry I can’t serve you with this Indiana ID”. Then before I could even get a sentence out to reply he just said “ not my problem man”. As I wanted to voice my reasoning and how I just wanted to order something to-go, I thought to myself why would I want to spend my money here with the horrid taste of service in my mouth already. Then as I walk out I look at the door and it states Monday all ages welcomed. Ironic that I’m 25 years old and couldn’t even order some food. False...

This place screams small town speak easy with a hidden taco spot and a chill hangout all mixed into one and it’s perfectly executed. The staff is super friendly and very knowledgeable about the menu both food and drinks wise. The pool table, shuffle board, and dart board all add to the come hangout and chill vibe. The 18 and over rule is phenomenal as you don’t have to listen to screaming children or running toddlers. All around it was a fantastic experience and we will be back. Definitely...

A pleasant surprise in an overlooked location adjacent to I 77. The owner/chef creates tasty, surprising daily specials. The standard fare is of smoked meats, burgers, tacos and pizza are all well prepared. The full bar and a broad selection of handles makes choosing a beverage pretty easy. If I lived closer I...
