Amazing food, great service and relaxed atmosphere! Me and couple buddies came here after a sporting event. Wow, just wow. We were sat down quickly and our waitress was fantastic! She was attentive, fun and her food recommendations were on point. The food did take about an hour to come out but we were told that putting in a reservation would have prevented that. So that is my recommendation to you review reader.

Went with the wings that were well sized and perfectly cooked. I also did the Lake Erie walleye meal with mash potatoes and Mac and cheese, it was excellent.

Inside the tavern there was not much to do as far as activities which was fine by us because the four us wanted to talk. Outside was a really cool environment as there was live music.

Can’t wait to come back here and eagerly...

I recently traveled to Zoar to go on the bike trail and I came across this gem of a tavern. As I walked in the front door the place was immaculately clean I walked out back to the patio and asked if I should seat myself, yes they said. Very shortly after my server arrived I ordered the fillet for lunch which was absolutely outstanding. As I was eating my lunch I observedThe owners getting ready for an extremely busy Saturday night. All of the patio tables had reservations. It was amazing to see the owners daughter waiting tables and the other daughter cooking in the kitchen. I only wish that I had a place like this to walk to Daily to eat I have told everybody about this place already. Thank you for making me feel welcomed and for the great...

Loved the food! We had the fried pickle chips - DELICIOUS. And they came out hot (a definite plus). For dinner we had the cod (medicore: not much flavor; a little greasy) with Mac and cheese and mashed potatoes with gravy (BOMB); kids chicken tenders and fries (he liked it; ate all the fries); and a burger with sweet potato fries (DELICIOUS; burger was well seasoned and very flavorful; the fries were cooked very well). The waitress was timely. The environment was very relaxed and it felt like you could stay a while and be very comfortable. Overall, the place was clean and well-kept, and the experience was good. We will...

They are looking for a chef and a dishwasher. My wife got the flat iron steak with mashed potatoes. She ordered her steak medium,it came out rare,it took 3 tries to get it right. I got the wagu burger with hot pepper cheese with fries and coleslaw. Our server was great though and when my wife dropped her purse, she brought it out to us as we were leaving. The place was very family friendly. I'm sure once they get the help they need, the steaks will be better. I'm sure we'll go back and try other items.

The Towpath Tavern is a very clean, nicely appointed place to eat and drink in historic downtown Bolivar. The wait staff was very friendly. The food items that we ordered were very average for a "bar". It was just kind of "food", if you know what I mean. I would go back when in the area. Summer offers a large outdoor seating area.
