Wasn't super impressed by the food. The server was nice though. I got eel avocado and spicy tuna rolls. The rice was bland. Not sure if there was any seasoning. The seaweed wrapper was excessively chewy. The texture of the eel was like a soft paste. I was expecting the spicy tuna to be topped with masago and spicy mayo but was told that it was mixed with the chopped tuna even though all I could really taste was tuna and spice. Had to dip them in soy so they would taste better. The rolls were sloppily thrown together and instead of a nice drizzle of eel sauce the eel roll was covered in it to the point all I could taste was the sauce. The pickled ginger somehow had the taste of pine-sol. I spit it out and don't do that often. The miso soup was alright but on par with something I could make at home. The seaweed salad was alright but kind of wet and just a little bitter though I don't have seaweed salad often so maybe it's supposed to be that way. I feel kind of bad picking this apart but this is one of the only times I really haven't enjoyed sushi. I really wish I could get my money back. I'm afraid my food might be coming back later. I used to go here at lease twice a week. The food was usually very good and the daytime (lunch) waitress was always very good. She even knew what drinks we were going to have and most of the time, what entrees we would be ordering. Lately they've changed their plates AND portions on the lunch and dinner offerings. They say it's the same amount of food, but its not. They also charge the same amount or more for these smaller portions. What a regular lunch plate at this place has, most other places offer this on their kids meals. The food has also been off lately. It doesn't taste as good/fresh as it once did. Most of the food was plan and I'm nit hard to please when it comes the sushi. Bot over not the worst but I had to drown my Salmon roll in yum yum Sauce It didn't even taste like salmon or fish.
