Bodacious Bar-B-Q — Restaurant in Bossier City

4/10/21 My Wife and I visited this establishment/restaurant this afternoon for the 1st time and everything was very good. The ribs (very tender and tasty)and the brisket (very tender and tasty)that I had was very, very good and the sides I had (potato salad and baked beans) were excellent. My Wife had their smoked turkey with potato salad and mac/cheese and she said that it was very good. The only reason I gave them a 4 star rating instead of a 5 star and actually it was my fault cause I didn't check the to go box before we left the establishment. I ordered a slab of ribs to go (priced at 26.99 and I have no problem with this price, cause they are worth the price), but when we got home and opened the to go box, there was only a half slab of ribs. I paid for a full rack and only got a half rack. Although I got shorted on my order, we will try this establishment again. I called them about the situation and they said they would make it right. So, if they make it right I would give them a 5 star. Oh, the Employees were very Friendly and courteous, the establishment was/is very clean.

Saturday 4/17/21: My Wife and I revisited this establishment today and they made good on their word to me, something that is unusual in these days and times. I am very glad they did, cause their ribs, brisket and other food items are the best.

Bodacious has the best tasting BBQ & the highest quality meat cuts (Except the“Turkey”), but they finally made me write a review. I call in & the past 2 TWO times they Forgot or just left out the jalapeños & onions I specifically asked for. So I called in for the 1/2 chicken plate and sliced BBQ brisket sandwich with sides AND JALAPEÑOS & ONIONS! I told her they didn’t put em in the last 2 times. She offered to check but in courtesy to the other person in line I checked in the truck. Nope! Thankfully the owner was there and he didn’t like the fact that they didn’t put in my extras anymore than I did. I realize these are free but the meal was nearly $30. We eat there at least once a week. Then the potato salad was put in the tray with a ice cream scoop that was very small! Maybe 2 teaspoons of potato salad and coleslaw. This used to be the best barbeque place in town! Now it’s overpriced for what you get. The turkey, or what they are passing off as turkey is some processed by-products type & not actual Smoked Turkey as advertised. Great Mom & Pop place but...

While we were attending an all-day wrestling tournament at the CenturyLink Center, we decided to venture out for a bite for lunch. We found Bodacious BBQ nearby and stopped in for lunch. The interior is quaint with country flourishes but the kitchen was hopping. We didn't have any wait to order our meat plates with sides. We all tried the brisket which was smoked well, tender, and quite flavorful. I tried the smoked sausage (both spicy and plain), my wife the chicken, and my daughter the ribs, along with some various sides. Everything was cooked to perfection. For dessert, we shared an order of the beignet fries, which can best be compared to a funnel cake. After the huge portions on our plates, we couldn't finish the dessert, but we left well-fed and ready for more wrestling.

Friendly staff, reasonable prices, large portions, and great flavor were the takeaways for our family during our visit. Hopefully you'll have a similarly savory experience should you drop-in to...
