SHANES on East Texas....Today was not a good visit to one of my favorite places to eat.... 😕 Upon entering the establishment I watched as the cashier acknowledged one customer after another. However, when I approached the register he just stood there, 😳 saying nothing. As I looked at the menu... I waited for him to acknowledge my sister and I standing there. He did not until she asked if he HE was ready. So we ordered... Brisket and Sausage...and Ribs which Mine were not hot. Salad was good except considering the price they should give TWO Dressings instead of One. For the price paid... ALL Of My Food should have been Hot and Fresh. (No One Ever Bothered to ask if everything was Ok.... So we Never had an opportunity to share our concerns) 🤔😕 AND After working in the restaurant industry... Those vegetable Portion Sizes should be bigger. Those cups used are more for SAMPLES or Kids Size Cups. (2 1/2 Tablespoons???) REALLY SHANES? With ALL of that Meat we need ADULT Size Vegetable Portions. Signed... The Review Queen

Quick-serve (order at the counter, runner brings it out) Cajun and barbeque, super casual, fairly extensive menu, of course heavy on the fried and crawfish. A little pricey for quick serve but less than full-service Cajun and good portion sizes. Really good hush pups, a little kick and moist, don't know why no one outside of Louisiana can make a good hush puppy, usually huge and dry Have to give 5 stars for the super friendly counter staff, the honest and not stuck-up nature of the place, and the easy availability of LA style food in a hurry, important when you're traveling, don't always have time for full waiter service. Entrees average about 16, but the side portions of dishes like gumbo or jambalaya can serve as a light meal and are under 10.

My co-workers and I ate at shanes. I just moved here and wanted some fish so they suggested this place, I ask them for thin and crispy if you only can imagine what I got. I should have looked at it before I left with our food but I trusted that it was going to be good the fries was cold and dark like the grease needed changing and fish was burnt and no meat. So I called and ask for the manager and of course he wasn't there so Stephaine said she would have him call 3hrs went by no call. I called back and was told he was to busy. I was just disappointed but I should have known I would have got treated like that. I took pictures of the food. What customer service..

Shane's Seafood and BBQ takes pride in crafting an exceptional Gumbo that's a true testament to Southern culinary tradition. This rich and hearty stew is a harmonious blend of flavors, featuring succulent shrimp, tender crab, and spicy Andouille sausage, all swimming in a savory, roux-based broth. Every spoonful of Shane's Gumbo is a journey through the bayou, delivering a soul-warming taste that's both comforting and deeply satisfying. Served with a side of rice, it's a true Southern delicacy that captures the essence of Louisiana cuisine, and a must-try dish for anyone looking to savor the flavors of the South.

Most expensive BBQ in town!! I ordered the 3 meat plate with sausage, hot links, and pulled pork, but i got brisket instead of the pork. it comes with 2 sides and i'm on a low carb diet so i got a salad and green beans. they upcharged me $2.50 for the salad and the young lady checking me out cought an attitude with me. If it says 2 side items they should let you know that they are only going to knock $.50 off the price of the side item and i would have ordered something else, but no just popped me im the mouth with it. Sorry good customer service is important....so I won't be back

It’s a good place to eat. The catfish was good and the Shane’s Sauce was yummy. It was like a Cajun Ranch type of sauce. The chicken strips were really good too! My brother in law had their crawfish 🦞 platter and he said it was delicious. I’m not very fond of crawfish so, though I tasted one, I don’t really like crawfish and can’t say one way or another. 🤷🏻♂️ I have attached some pics. My dad said the ribs were good and he’s fairly picky about ribs so that’s a good sign. My wife said the brisket sandwich was okay but not great. Overall it was a nice place.
