I’ve been a regular customer at this establishment for quite some time, visiting nearly every day. Unfortunately, I had a deeply disappointing and upsetting experience during my most recent visit. When I inquired politely about price inconsistencies that seem to change daily, I was met with hostility. The owner responded by yelling at me, calling me rude, and ultimately telling me to leave the store and never return.
Rather than addressing my concern in a respectful or professional manner, he escalated the situation unnecessarily. It felt like an extreme overreaction, and I couldn’t help but question whether I would have been treated the same way if I were not a person of color.
What’s especially troubling is that this store is located in an urban neighborhood and caters largely to youth and families of color. I’ve witnessed and heard accounts of questionable pricing practices, especially toward children—charging different amounts without consistency or transparency. This type of behavior is concerning and appears to take advantage of the very community the store is supposed to serve.
As a loyal customer, I expected to be treated with basic respect. Instead, I left feeling disrespected and targeted. I’m sharing this experience in hopes that others will be treated more fairly in the future and that local businesses will be held accountable to serve their communities with...
Read moreVery rude customer service, will never come back! The owner was horrible towards my little sister and mother for an honest mistake.
A month ago, my mother and little sister ordered over the phone for their usual Caesar wrap. That day, (first time to ever happened) they forgot to pick up their order. Today, 5/17/23, my little sister called to order her usual Caesar wrap. The lady answered and asked if they were the one that did not pick up the wrap. My sister said, “yes” to which the lady passed the old man the phone. The guy said, “I will not take your service anymore, take your service elsewhere!” My mother was shocked when she heard this over speaker. I, the older sister writing this review was shocked. Why would you talk to a customer like that?? And the fact that they held this anger in for a month is crazy.
We have been ordering for almost a year and never once had we forgotten to pick up our order. At least, in a respectful manner, explain your hurt and that you did not appreciate that happening so that we don’t do it again.
My mother and sister were both heartbroken at what the man said. And I was sad and confused as to that kind of behavior towards customers.
With that being said, yes, we will take our business elsewhere. Never again will we...
Read moreI would like to share that I ordered 3 salads today. I was disappointed with the disrespect from the owners 23 year old daughter who needs to take a class on customer service. I advised her that on my last order she gave me the wrong salad dressing. Rather than apologizing she stated very rudely that I’m not the one that does this. She then swipes my card and slams both my card and receipt on the counter and walked away. I asked if that was my receipt she rudely replied that’s your stuff. Etiquette is another class that she now needs. You just don’t treat customers in this manner. So, of course, I asked for a refund. This young lady continued to argue with me. I think in this day and age we should think before we speak and act. Do they not realize it’s the customers who keep these businesses a float. This place was closed for months due to COVID. What’s really happening in our world today. We need to do better especially when we a patrons of these businesses that are run by people outside of our neighborhood. Thank you Vikos for showing me your true colors as I am spending my money elsewhere from now on! If you continue doing business this way you won’t have to blame COVID...
