Church's Texas Chicken — Restaurant in Bourbonnais

We ordered the 12 piece meal that came with 2 sides. We picked fried okra and the mashed potatos with gravy. Both excellent. The biscuits are outstanding. They are slightly sweet on top and very moist. But now to the critique. When I came in, the staff was busy chit chatting and I stood around until they noticed me. They did not greet me. I asked for the spicy chicken, 12 piece meal. When I got home, I realized I only had 9 pieces. No thighs. 3 wings, 3 breast pieces, 3 legs. Not only that, but I received the Orginal chicken and not the spicy. I filled out the survey and it asked if they repeated the order back and whether they thanked me for the order, no to both of those things. I tried calling the store multiple times but nobody answers the phone and the voicemail is full. I honestly feel that the team members are so wrapped up in chit chat that they are not focusing on the customer service aspect and ensuring that the orders are filled correctly. These things start with management setting expectations and leading by example. I never received a call or email after requesting to be contacted when I filled out the survey, so it appears not only does nobody care on the floor, they also don’t care on the management end. The place is dirty. The staff has their pants around their ass and they move slower than the last drop of honey coming out of a bottle on a cold day.

I didn't even get food the last time I went in because it was so gross and I had like 10 minutes to stand and watch while I started noticing how filthy everything was.

I was giving them one more chance after a string of bad experiences. This final trip was like 27 strikes on its own.

It looks like the mop around the main areas but don't clean anything. I watched them box up an order then wait a couple of minutes while running around (food sitting on cold counter not under heat lamp) to come back and ask the customer if they wanted to wait for 10 minutes on biscuits.

The customer had been waiting for at least 10 minutes already because they ordered before I ever got into the place.

And the staff was rude. Not just to customers but to each other. There was one guy just shuffling stuff around pretending to work.

I won't be going back. I hope they close and something else goes in there.

I went to a different chicken place 7 miles away and was much happier that night...

Had just gotten out of the hospital the day before, so ordered delivery. It said no delivery fee for over $25. But when it tallies up, they slap a $4 service fee on there. Ordered an 8 pc chicken meal with the large fries and 4 biscuits. I also ordered the large jalapeño poppers, small okra, and 4 apple pies. The jalapeño poppers were hollow, no cheese at all. The okra was burnt, and never got the large fries or biscuits. I tried to call repeatedly, but nobody answers, and you can't leave a message because the mailbox is full. The chicken was good, but not worth the $50 when the things that you DID get were not quality items, and then not getting the full order! First time using delivery, never again! They leave you no way to correct it. I think this might be done on purpose 🤔. Take my money, don't make it right, lose my business and warn others not...
