Dickey's Barbecue Pit — Restaurant in Bourbonnais

Me and my wife ordered off door dash figured we would give the brand a second chance both times dickeys bbq has been a major let down the turkey and pulled pork was so dry it was more aless a raw Hyde for a dog. The brisket was iffy parts were edible other parts were not, now the jalapeno cheeder sausage was good a bit more heat then I liked but over was good there also was no smoke flavor whatsoever. When I smoke turkey pork or even brisket for the matter I go at low and slow for 12hrs this tasted like it was put in a very very hot smoker to smoke in the shortest amount of time and all the juices to keep it moist just got evaporated which is sad whoever is running that smoker really needs to be taught how to run it differently and to add more wood to it cause out of everything the only thing I would order again is the Mac and cheese. The other thing I noticed by the texture is there probably wrapping it to tight in aluminum foil to smoke it which is blocking a huge punch of the smoke flavor you expect...

U should really consider closing this location to allow a restaurant that actually has staffing and staff he products that they serve AVAILABLE I know it’s my own fault for stopping here knowing I’m going to be disappointed EVERY TIME But for some asinine reason I thought today would be different ( literally doesn’t matter what day or time they never have any food or say they closed for a catering order) I stopped even trying to get food here because their is never anything available but chicken( which can be bought at Church’s chicken u are connected to) never anything available brisket, burnt ends, half the sides are never available it’s the middle of the day on a Saturday u have one person working the ENTIRE RESTAURANT it’s pretty obvious you don’t have the staffing or the products at least have the decency to remove said items from the menu SINCE U NEVER HAVE THEM I will never attempt to patronize this location again and save myself the time and...

Im super pickey with bbq and sides. So here it goes....potato salad, mac n cheese and loaded potato casserole were AMAZING. We ordered every meat: brisket tastes like roast more than brisket but was very flavorful. Both turkey and chicken were drier than id like but the flavors were truly wonderful and none of the meats were greasy. The pork was outstanding and sgsin not greasy and messy.. Fries were nothing to boast about. We did order slaw and brisket chili which were out but i took a risk on the others and have no regrets. Calling hot dog bun shaped bread, texas toast is very misleading. Now was the size of the 3 meat platter really worth almost $20 each? yes and no. As long as you understand that some items are mislabeled and not exactly what they say, and you get the right sides sure $20 might be acceptable if the size is there.
