My husband discovered Marco's via Google Maps search for pizza options near work. Seeing as they deliver and the ratings were good, he gave them a chance. He sent me this photo and proceeded to spend his entire daily call during lunch torturing me by describing why it was one of the best pizzas he's ever tried. Considering his love for pizza, he knows a good pizza and so his praise has me quite curious. Mouth watering jealous as well. I'm rating 4 stars until I have a chance to visit and see if this pizza is as impressive as he claims. The price was as impressive as the size. The photo definitely doesn't do the size justice. He shared a few slices with coworkers and now they've been ordering pizza too.
UPDATE: My husband felt bad that I didn't get to try his pizza, so he arrived home the same night with a surprise. He brought me the Hawaiian. Normally, such pizza is ham and pineapple, but the Marco's version includes bacon and chicken, making this a meat lover's pizza. I am NOT a big meat eater. So initially I was disappointed, however it looked great, so I gave it a chance. It was amazing. I still am not a fan of alot of meat, but here was a menagerie of mouthwatering flavor captured in a box. The only issue I have is with the box itself. Despite the pizza not being greasy and the crust still nice and crisp, there was substantial grease in the box. The liner had absorbed alot of it, but there was enough to be under the liner too. Their boxes are strong and rigid, colorful and photographic, but I am concerned about the environmental aspect due to the amount of ink. Still, it's hard to find a complaint and I'm thrilled to discover a location is coming to Glasgow...
Read moreLet me start by saying that we are fans of Marcos. Tonight, not so much!!! I pre-ordered the pizza, 2 hours before we wanted it delivered. My thought was, since we preordered we should get our pizza on time. I do understand the times we live in. Finding quality help, etc. I called 40 minutes after our scheduled delivery. Sebastian (worker) said we should have the pizza in about 20 minutes. It ended up being 35 minutes. The pizza was undercooked , cold , the worst pizza we have ever received from Marco’s. We really try to give Grace to small business. So the pizza was delivered an hour late even though it was Preordered. It was cold, under cooked, with an hour late delivery. The Hangry factor kicks in. No apology, no discount, no nothing, from Marco’s! We have choices in this area and I must say that I will make another choice next time! Sorry not sorry Marco’s. Worst experience...
Read moreWe order from here weekly. Have for the past 3 years and still will. Can't order online delivery because the app won't recognize our address -- no problem, we call. Then they quit answering the phones, no problem -- switched to carryout. We want our Marcos.
But in the past month, now 3 times in a row, I've arrived to be told it would be another hour...the next time had my order completely missed...then today one of my 3 pizzas was totally missed, so I end up taking home 2 cold pizzas to cook myself.
The pizza is delicious. The new manager is trying like hell. We'll keep coming. But they need employees that...
