Tasta used to be good.
Last week, my wife and I placed an order for delivery. It came in a timely manner. The cup of sour cream that came with an order had mold in it. We called Tasta and were told that they'd need to see it before doing anything about it. Sure, that's fine. They brought us a new cup of sour cream quickly.
Tonight, we placed the same order as last week - creatures of habit - and it will be our last order from a class Bradford establishment. It arrived quickly and the driver was friendly as always. He even apologized again for the sour cream even though that wasn't remotely his fault. My wife ordered mini tacos that have always come with sour cream and salsa - every single time we have ordered it. It came with nothing, just the 2 cups of ranch that we ordered along with the other fried apps. I was annoyed at this point and called to speak with a manager.
I was told that the sour cream and salsa are only provided when you order in-house. Not for delivery or pickup. And that us receiving them in the past must have been a mistake. This was only mentioned after he tried to convince me that I was wrong and I only ordered the ranch cups. I commented on the fact that this is the second week in a row that our orders have been messed up and that the condiment "policy" hasn't ever been a thing and wasn't at all mentioned on the menu. He went on about cost and so forth. When I made a comment that the general quality has been going down and that after his responses, they have lost very long time customers (Bradford native), he responded with "well this sounds like it's about something a lot more than just condiments." I hung up at that point. I wasn't expecting anything. I wanted it to be known to management that there were mistakes and I was greeted with a hostile attitude. I was even told that it's expected that customers provide their own condiments when eating at home - since when?
There is no consistency to the food quality either. When I sat to eat my sub, I realized that I was apparently expected to provide my own condiments on the sub that I've always ordered and that has always come with condiments. There was bologna, a slice of salami, half a bag of lettuce, so-on, but no mayo, no oil, nothing of the sort. Much like Tasta, it went...
Read moreHad a very disappointing experience at my favorite pizza place. I’m not able to speak about the changes from the previous owners to the new owners as I’ve only come here under the new owners. I placed an order for pick up tonight. When I arrived I was about 4th in line. The line moved so that I was next up. A gentleman arrived at this time. I was next up to go to the cashier, standing directly behind the man who had just payed. The man who just entered the establishment proceeded to cut me off and the cashier began to check his order. I said “excuse me sir but I was next in line” he stated that he had an order for pickup and continued to give his order to the cashier. I interrupted to say that I was also here for a pickup and next in line. The cashier proceeded to apologize to the man who physically cut me off and spoke over me because he felt he got to skip me because he was only picking up an order. Which I was as well. The cashier did take my order next but only after I spoke up for myself and the man stepped aside. The cashier apologized to the man twice but said nothing to me. I realize that Friday night is a busy time and everyone was in a rush but this encounter and especially how the cashier handled the situation has left me disappointed in how Tasta Pizza treats their customers. I truly have enjoyed the food and have had pleasant experiences up to this point but...
Read moreTasta used to be a meaningful place for my family—my dad worked there for most of his life, and I helped out over the years. Coming back recently was honestly heartbreaking. It’s now a dive bar filled with gambling machines, TVs on every wall, and a vibe that’s trying way too hard to appeal to Gen X and millennials. As a Gen Zer, it just feels forced and soulless.
The woman manager (middle-aged with black hair) was very rude. I tried to give her the benefit of the doubt, knowing how toxic the behind-the-scenes pressure can be—but it still felt uncalled for. The bartender and younger staff were decent, just clearly stressed by the obvious "big brother" surveillance on their actions. The pizza took a while and wasn’t anything special, though it was a tad late at night to expect slices premade.
It hurts to see a place that once held real value turned into something this hollow. Maybe it works for takeout or regulars who don’t care about the atmosphere, but for me, it’s a sad reflection of how little loyalty or care went into preserving what it once was. I’d be surprised if it’s still around...
