Honestly, Eyz Wide Shut wasn’t the best if you’re looking for a real play-friendly vibe.

Overall, as a visitor from Texas, I had a good time, but a few things kept me on reserve. The play area was too locked down to feel comfortable—security had to badge or key you into certain rooms, which really broke the mood. On top of that, they allowed single males to wander the play hallways, which made the atmosphere feel guarded instead of sexy. I think it would’ve worked better if single guys were only allowed back with a woman or couple.

The club layout itself felt disjointed. The social area and play area were completely separate, and it all ran more like a bar than a lifestyle club. You check in at the club to mingle, but at 11 pm you have to leave, walk next door, go through another round of security where they lock up your phone and smartwatch, and then finally get into the play space. At one point, it honestly felt like they had more security than actual guests.

While the environment was body positive, there were still some questionable vibes from a few people that made me more aware. Personally, I only saw maybe three women I’d have had real interest in.

Overall, the vibe was more restrictive than sexy, and the flow just didn’t click for me.

My honest opinion--it needs a complete remodel to bring everything together. They had a couple of good ideas to help people feel comfortable, but so much was left to be desired--especially waiting until 11pm for the festivities to get started. Let me start by saying my husband and I have been here before and had a great time, which is why we came back. However, this experience was much different. We arrived around 9:45pm and a couple in front of us were paying. One of them asked a question and the lady behind the counter said "lower your expectations for Thursdays." What?...red flag. Happy hour ended at 10pm. No problem. We went straight to the bar after paying our entry fee and ordered drinks. The bartender rang us up full price. My husband said "I thought it was happy hour" and she responded "it's now 10:01." Really? REALLY? We ordered before 10pm but by the time she made the drinks and rang us up it was 10:01. Come on. At least it was BOGO well drinks. We went to the lodging around 11:30pm and the big play room was locked and not open for play. The only common room was the smaller, narrow room leading to the main area. There were 7 couples standing in the hall (one was a threesome) so 15 people total. We all wanted to play but putting 15 people in that area wasn't really something we wanted. Three of us ladies asked the young man at the door to open the main area but he refused. I know he was just doing his job but if we are charged full price to enter, it seems we would all have full access to the facility. My husband and I walked down the hall and were looking in the dungeon. A single male approached us and said "looking for some extra company?" What? No. We walked away and another single male was at the other end asking a different couple if they wanted extra company. I understand the atmosphere but it's a little awkward when it's completely unsolicited. As I said, we've been here before and had a fantastic time. I wrote a great review then and we've told many of our friends about it. A lot of them have visited and also enjoyed their experience. To anyone reading this review, EWS truly is a fun place to go. I do not believe our last visit is what EWS represents or intends for their guest to experience. It was just a fluke of a night but I always write honest reviews. I hope the right people read this and only good things come from it. This is a fun place to go even if you're not in the "lifestyle." In our prior visits all of the guests are friendly and never any pressure or being inappropriate. The security guard claiming his name was "King" kicked us out last night after another security guard confused us with someone else. A security guard claimed that he had asked my girlfriend not to take her shoes off on the dance floor several times. I asked him to review the footage as it would clearly show that he had us confused with someone else and at this point he threatened to call the sheriff and have me trespassed. I was very calm and polite while trying to explain that he had us confused with someone but he was very rude and insisted that we leave. Typically we don't even enter the dance floor in fact I think this may have been the first time my girlfriend had ever even entered the dance floor at this place she was probably up there 5 minutes and the very first time we were approached by security was the time that he claimed she had been told multiple times.

We have been to this place many many times and you can ask the bartender Jennifer about the couple that drinks vanilla crown and Coke and she will vouch for us. She knows that we never cause any trouble.We are extremely respectful quiet people. This was embarrassing and frustrating after spending good money to come to this establishment. I hope that the staff takes the time to review this situation as you will find that we did absolutely nothing wrong and should not have been kicked out. I'm not sure whether or not we will return to this establishment after this incident and I will definitely be hesitant to recommend it to anyone else. I will say that I like the facility and I like most of the staff in fact most of the staff know us and I'm sure if king would have just asked anyone else they would have vouched for us but he wasn't having it.

We have never been treated so poorly at a club or any establishment for that matter. We are not the type that goes to a place like this to cause trouble or make a scene so this was extremely frustrating.

Yes my girlfriend did take her heels off to dance briefly but we were never warned about that and we would have had no issue simply putting the shoes back on. Whoever is reading this please take the time to review this situation and understand that we traveled a good distance to come to this place, paid for a hotel, and and spent a couple hundred dollars in the establishment just for the night to end by being kicked out...
