Inferno — Restaurant in Brawley

We walked out. I’m giving 1 star because that’s the minimum and the restaurant seemed like a neat place, atmosphere was cool n relaxed. First time out west, and in CA. We were traveling with a 3 other couples. Two opted for the Jack in the Box, but we wanted something more tasty. We chose to sit outside, felt great out. A waiter seated us and gave us menus. He introduced himself as Jesus, and was polite but when asked about some items on the menu, he had no idea. He took our appetizer and drink order. We asked about a few different beers also, he stated he didn’t know about them because he didn’t drink. We decided to order root beers and 1 lemonade. When he returned with our drinks, he sat them down and told us we could order at the bar inside if we wanted anything else. As he was telling us this, I was sipping my root beer. It tasted like carbonated water. The rest of my group was asking why he couldn’t take our order as I said, “okay, but our root beer is terrible! The syrup needs to be changed out because you can only taste carbonated water; so do we just give these back to you?” He proceeded to tell us we would have to take it back to the bar. We were like, WHAT??? He smiled, nodded and walked away. So we did too. We sat the terrible drinks down and left. We went to Jack in the Box and I’m happy to report, service was fast and friendly. I feel like at the least he could have taken the drinks and tried to make it right. Oh well, they...

Unnecessarily huge menu, nice service, good burger, questionable signs, kittens in the back.

Came in for some adventuring after being out on the dunes nearby. Our waitress was Nicole who was brand new but very sweet. She gave what opinions she could to help us but realistically she'd only been there like, 2 weeks. I looked at the menu and that thing was insanely big. Just, way too much to figure out what they were supposed to specialize in.

I got the inferno Burger and was surprised at how good the side salad was. Especially. This place isn't exactly agricultural Central so I was willing to put up with a lot but it tasted great. The burger itself had good ingredients and was a solid medium. The jalapenos were obviously fresh, sliced and lightly seared.

There is no live entertainment tonight but I overheard some people say it got pretty wild and there were some more... aggressive people That would stop by and occasionally bump heads. I was too busy eating to hear much. But it was backed up by the signs in the back.

While trying to take a video I actually spotted five kittens! They were so cute but I was not in any sort of place to rescue them late at night and my husband would kill me if I brought home more.

Would probably come here again without the promise of kittens lol, it looked like one of the best places the town had to offer. I'd probably just make sure not to come if there are too many guys in...

Ordered food for dinner. Long day why not. Placed order for 4, only to get there 30 minutes later and there is no ingredients for our fourth meal. Just a mention “oh yeah we’re out of this, and this…so we can’t make it” (Pasta takes two ingredients. Yup they are out of those two) your total is 50 dollars. After a brief exchange, she asked if we wanted to add another item. Our fourth diner didn’t want to keep everyone’s food waiting and getting cold while they cook another meal for them. No call, no warning, no “we’ll make it up next time”. They thought about calling, but because they have “sooooo many numbers calling in”, they couldn’t remember who called. Been there about 10-12 times in the past year or so. Guess they are too busy with many customers to try and call. Side note, interesting that there is no sign of up charges in the store, yet 4% is a good start for them.
