Big Apple Diner is a beloved spot in our town, and for good reason! It's our go-to place for Sunday brunch, always buzzing with energy and friendliness. Their milkshakes are a standout, especially the coconut one—it’s a must-try and absolutely addictive. While we enjoy everything on the menu, our kids are big fans of the fried chicken and classic breakfast options. Today, I decided to switch things up and ordered the crispy chicken salad. It was great, with a perfect balance of crispy chicken and flavorful seasoning. The portion sizes are spot on—not too little, not too much. The staff at Big Apple Diner always go above and beyond with their attentiveness and friendliness. Since the recent ownership change, the diner has become even more inviting, with charming interior updates and slight menu tweaks that have only increased its popularity. The addition of free Wi-Fi is a thoughtful touch that shows they truly care about their customers’ comfort. A small but meaningful moment during our visit today was when I requested hot water. The staff brought me a pot of hot water and a cup, which really highlighted their excellent service. Whether you're planning a family gathering, a casual brunch with friends, or even a birthday celebration, Big Apple Diner is the perfect choice. Highly recommend!

I was not happy with this place at all. Came here with a party of five. We got waters served to us in little kiddie cups. The whole time we were there, not once did our watress come back and fill any of our cups up. One person at our table spilled his water and never got a refill. the watress never even acknowledge the spill. Maybe this place is for locals only, because that was who was getting all the attention. The food came and it wasn't good at all. My son said the chicken tastes like gas station food. One person stated that the meatloaf wasn't fresh. The cornbread has no flavor at all. No one at the table liked their food. My grand-daughter has never turned down mac and cheese until we ate it here. My omelet was edible. I had a taco.omelet. I had one a few days before from anothwr reatuarant and it was really good. I guess I was expecting this to be up there too. We sat and waited for our checks for awhile. When we did get our check, no one told us where to pay, whether it was at the table or cashier. Where ever that was. It was behind the ice cream stand, not in front of the store where most are located. I would definitely never come back. Maybe they need to come to Florida and learn what hospitality is and maybe learn to cook.

Both my husband and I grew up going to this diner as did our families when they were kids. It was such a shame the quality and customer service went down hill. We were seated with some waters and were told we would be taken care of in a few minutes after about 15+ minutes our waitress came and just took our order without asking what we would like to drink. My husband ordered the chicken fried steak and I ordered the biscuits and gravy combo with hash browns and over easy eggs. As we waited we drank our drinks and a waitress (not ours) asked my husband if he would like a refill and brought it back promptly nothing for me. My husband found our waitress (after being on her phone scrolling) and asked if I could have a refill. About 5 minutes later we got our food my husband came out good and mine came out with potato O’Brien and scrambled eggs. It was so frustrating already for the lack of service I didn’t even want to say anything because it already took forever for the food. We ate what we could left so unhappy and sad that our beloved diner we grew up in just went completely down hill. Thank you Amanda S for the horrible service.

I think this little diner does a good job of representing it's 3.5 star ranking. We've come here as a family over a dozen times now, and our experience has always been between 3 and 4 stars, consistently. I like consistency, and I like that I can depend on this place to deliver A-OK food at A-OK prices with A-OK service, each and every time. We have yet to have a disappointing experience here. Everything is just, pleasant. And there's nothing wrong with that.

We've made this place our go-to stop before we go grocery shopping. We try to follow the rule of not going grocery shopping hungry, so we come here, get lunch or breakfast, walk over to the Red Apple Market next door and then head to WinCo to complete our ritual. There's always plenty of parking, and even during busy times, there seems to be at least one table left for us. We haven't had to wait yet. It's very convenient being right next to the Red Apple Market.

The food is just always OK as I mentioned before. Every time I go, I do admit that, once I start eating, I wish I had ordered something else. I've tried many items on the menu and have found that the bacon and blue cheese wedge salad is my favorite item. We've had breakfast, and lunch items off the menu and they all do the job. Nothing mind bending or amazing, and some things are worse than others. We ordered a dessert there once even, and it was comically huge. It came with 4 scoops of ice cream and several toppings, it ended up looking like something out of a movie or a food challenge t.v. show. Three of us couldn't finish it. It was a good value for the price though, so if you're in the mood for a big dessert to share with your family, order one here!

If you are looking for a place to come regularly, expecting to never be let down, to always be treated with somewhere in between indifference and a luke-warm smile from the servers, to leave fairly satisfied and glad that you didn't really waste your money...stop by Big...

I ordered food to-go at this diner a few months ago and I was extremely disappointed, but I thought it was just a fluke so I decided to try this place again. I was appalled and extremely disappointed by not only the customer service but the lack of care by the staff in general this second time. Kayla took my order over the phone, she told me a time in which the food would be ready, come to find out it was another 15 minutes on top of what she already told me (25 minutes compared to her 10-15min quote). As I was waiting for my food, I noticed how blatantly rude she was to the customers coming into the restaurant. I get it, customer service is stressful and working in a restaurant is ten times more stressful. However, as the host, you are the first thing people see when you walk in. Maybe smile or acknowledge the lobby instead of yelling WHO ISNT ON THE LIST? Next, I get my food home and come to find out, I didn't get what I ordered. I was visiting someone who lives 30 mins away and I don't live nearby as it is. I called and got someone who passed the phone to Kayla, I told Kayla my issue (I didn't get what I ordered) and instead of putting me on hold to find help I heard her say AMANDA, TAKE THIS, I CANT DEAL WITH THIS. I asked Amanda if she can give me a refund of the food I didn't get, she said she cant do that without the card and she offered to give me cash next time I come in or a "voucher" for a future visit. Amanda went over my order with me and Kayla was arguing with me through Amanda saying I didn't say that, etc. Needless to say, I will never come to this restaurant ever again. I don't complain to get free food, but I wanted what I paid for. Amanda did the best she could with an error Kayla made. Kayla needs to be better trained when it comes to customer service in the food industry. If you are going to be doing to-go's, maybe you need to double check the order before you hurry people on their way. I will NOT recommend this...

TAKE A PASS - Stopped in tonight for dinner. There were 5 tables with 4 waitstaff. I was with my husband and we each ordered the half sandwich and cup of soup. My husband asked what soup choices there were and was told clam chowder or chicken noodle. We both ordered the clam chowder. I asked if I could get a tuna melt and was told yes. I replied ‘oh good I don’t feel like a sandwich with two pieces of bread’. It took about 15min to get the plates delivered. Well the soup tasted right out of a can. As you might suspect my tuna melt arrived as a sandwich not open faced. My husband went to pay and we were up charged for the clam chowder and I was up charged for the clam chowder and the cheese on the tuna melt. Seriously, how do you make a tuna melt without cheese? And why weren’t we advised when offered the soup that choosing clam chowder from a can would be up charged? The explanation - they were running around so busy and we could find it on the menu! Well, if we needed to ask what the soup was we clearly did not see it on the menu. They felt arguing was appropriate and kept insisting they had been so busy they didn’t have time to tell us. I said there are only 5 tables with people at them and there are 4 of you standing here how can this be considered busy? I eat out often, multiple times a week with my travel at work this is the first time in 20years I asked my husband not to leave a tip. On the way home he said ‘this is the first time I have heard you say the food was terrible, usually when you don’t care for it you just say it was ok’. That lets you know that is was more than a disappointment it is a place...
