Jerry's Hot Dogs — Restaurant in Brentwood

I am very disappointed in both the service and the quality of the food. I tried to offer a friendly critique for the new owners, I thoughtful they would been open to since we had a very pleasant conversation about them as new owner of a beloved lunch spot.

I called them once I got home with my order, They had pack a cold salad with the food that was intended to be hot, cheeseburger and French fries, I live less than five minutes away and the hot food was cold.

When I called them asked if they were open to a friendly critique they said yes but I'd have to call back later. That surprised me because they were so friendly when I pickup the food. Onto of that I called twice, they put me on hold with this ear piercing music without greeting me and asking if they can put me on hold, without something as a hello.

Since I'm not a valued customer I won't be returning anytime in the near future. They got 1 star because I couldn't leave a review without doing so other wise they wouldn't have received any stRs, these people are Not Ready for prime time so I would suggest that you go elsewhere, let they others be there ...

Family was craving hot dogs, found Jerry's and ordered take out. Few things to report. 1 - The young man taking our order, cashier was very friendly. We placed large order he was patient and read back order making sure all was correct. When presenting food to go he once again confirmed all was made correctly. 5 stars for service 2 - My eldest daughter changed her mind once seeing gyros on menu. She ordered a gyro with greek fries and was very happy. Gyros also, 5 stars. 3 - Hot dogs were good to above average and priced fairly. Toppings were plenty and covered the dog wrapped up. Cheese dog was good would recommend. 4 stars 4 - Chili and hamburgers are a no go. The hamburger patty is flavorless I would not recommend. The chili isn't bad, again toppings plenty with cheese and onions. Just not much flavor would not recommend. Overall, I would recommend for a nice lunch. Order either a hot dog or gyro and you...

Update So I've been back a few times now, and they have improved. Everything was fresh as far as the chili dog and cheese fries. The two gentlemen working there are always pleasant, and I'm happy they no longer microwave their nacho fries. Welcome back to being one of my favorites, Jerry's Hot Dogs.

I used to love this place. It has to be under new ownership. When they were in Antioch, the area wasn't so nice, but the food was amazing. Loved Jerry's. Now fast forward to the new spot in Brentwood. What happened? The hot dogs aren't horrible, but the cheese fries are disgusting. Stale fries that are smothered in nacho cheese and then microwaved.
