Southern Spoon — Restaurant in Brewer

Run, don’t walk—Southern Spoon in Brewer is a hidden gem. Tucked a little off the beaten path, this place is so worth finding. We had one of the best lunches I’ve had in the greater area. The pimento BLT was incredible—one bite in and I was hooked. It was an extremely thick sandwich stacked high on homemade buttered bread. Just perfect.

We chose the potato salad as a side, and it was easily one of the best I’ve had in years—creamy, flavorful, and just right. The pasta salad was also great, but the potato salad was the clear winner.

The atmosphere inside was cozy, peaceful, and welcoming. We ordered out this time, but we’re already planning to come back and eat in to enjoy the vibe.

Man what can I say bout this place nothing but tasteful enjoyment I been searching for a good soul southern food place and when I picked up a door dash from this place I walked in n instantly Ik something was strange bout this place is wasn’t ur normal place it felt so home sweet home

so I started talking to the owners and instantly I figure it out the wasn’t from here not one bit the was from Mississippi or something like that I can hear the southern accent n it was on point

Summer of 2023, Southern Spoon catered my company summer party. Everything was delicious down to the fried dough with powdered sugar. I recently picked up a MEAL DEAL they posted on Facebook about: white chicken enchiladas with a cherry dessert. The enchiladas were hot when I picked them up so they were ready to eat on getting home, which is great on a work night. 4 sauce and cheese smothered enchiladas just packed with chicken. A nice kick of spice to them too! Dessert was good, but as a fan of Graham crackers, base of crushed Graham crackers could have been thicker. 😉 I definitely will order again, as well as see what they have...
