Papa V's — Restaurant in Brick Township

My husband and I took our 4 year old here for pizza one night. We usually go to nicks pizza on lanes mill road by jersey farms (best pizza around, check out their reviews. Delish), but they are closed on mondays so we figured we’d give papa v’s a try. Bad idea. The crust is our favorite part of a good pizza. Their crust literally was too hard to eat. We didn’t take more than one bite each of the crust. The cheese to sauce ratio was all messed up. The cheese was definitely not a good quality, which makes a pizza extra greasy. Do not recommend their pizza AT ALL. My four year old wouldn’t even eat it. I will say they had a sandwich in the counter window with chicken parm on a giant garlic knot. One in the window, since we were disappointed with the pizza we were still hungry so decided to get that too. We all had a small piece and it was delicious. However I’ve called a bunch of times since then to see if they had any, and they say no everytime. I’ve asked if they can make 3 since we all loved it, and they said no to that as well. I've been eating here since I started working in Brick a few years ago and their food is ALWAYS top notch!!! Today though, was the life-changing experience (for a fat guy) that is making me write this review. CHICKEN AND WAFFLE PIZZA with maple syrup and powdered sugar!!! Don't knock it until you have tried it!

All the guys I work with eat here just about every day and it is the type of place where you can't just tell the guys to just get you a slice of whatever on their way back. You really have to go inside to check out their selection, as every other day, those guys whip up some of the most unique pizzas I've ever seen. BIG MAC PIZZA, YES PLEASE! WAFFLE FRY PIZZA, YUP, I'LL TAKE ONE OF THOSE TOO. As a matter of fact, I stick them sumbitches together and eat it like a stuffed pizza! Ever have a pork roll, egg and cheese pizza? I did, and it was amazing.

If crazy pizzas aren't your thing, get a saltimbocca. You won't be disappointed. It is the best chicken sandwich I've ever had. Hmmmm, Saltimbocca...

Wish it could have been better.

A fun little pizzeria with a specialty in burgers and wings- whats not to love.

First time in, ordered 3 different burgers (for myself and my helpers). Each of us wanted fairly plain burgers- a variety of bacon or plain bacon burgers with ketchup.

What we got was 3 burgers SLATHERED with ketchup- to the point of making the buns soggy before we dug in, and making the bun slide around when trying to grab it. The ketchup was either home made- or a specialty product as it had some zest or spice to it- of which you wont find in a bottle of red Heinz.

The burgers were all medium, of which we never specified or were asked how we wanted them cooked, but all had the liquid smoke similar to that of burger kings whoppers. Burgers were frozen patties for sure, not freshly made.

A 4th member of my party had 3 different styles of pizza and said they were "acceptable to good".
