Do not even want to give it a starred rating now I understand why it's called Used To Be's the only decent thing about the experience was our waitress and unfortunately I didn't get her name. Everything from ordering apps to going to the main courses went downhill. We went with my brother and my sister-in-law who is celiac, because of the big GF symbol on the outside of the building. There are maybe four choices of gluten free. Everything else we were told you can not order cuz of cross-contamination. With that being said she ordered one of the gluten free items. It was delivered to a table with a bag of crackers on the dish on top of the spoon. Anybody gluten-free or Celiac knows they don't need to be in the same zip code let alone on the same dish. So now let's move on to the non gluten free food, my wife ordered the tuna it's really hard to screw up tuna that was okay, my son ordered nachos meat and lettuce only and french fries, can't screw that up, my daughter ordered boneless buffalo wings and french fries, they came out so dry that I would have packed them in my fishing bag take him into the woods and use them as chicken jerky for a fishing trip, my brother ordered the steak and shrimp mashed potatoes and vegetables, the Steak & Shrimp were okay, vegetables ice cold mashed potatoes so dry it's back in the hole in the wall from the door knob that knocked the hole in it, my brother's wife also ordered gluten free tacos, they were delivered on the same arm downwind of my daughter's breaded boneless buffalo wings, now for myself I ordered the pork osso bucco risotto and vegetables, the ossobuco good until I got about an inch or two into it then it was ice cold, the risotto and the vegetables horrible, vegetables ice cold risotto so damn starchy you use them at the dry cleaners. The food was just so so and small portions for the price. The filet mignon was tough and not good quality more like a larger steak cut to look like a filet. The rice was ice cold and you could count the zucchini pieces on one hand. We went to the bar after dinner for a cocktail and the service was HORRIBLE.....the blonde girl was so rude and was mocking my husband because of what he asked her about a drink. She passed the order on to the other bartender and We waited at least 15 minutes for our drinks . Then we were totally ignored when we wanted to order another round and it took another 20 before we were acknowledged. At that point we had enough and left only to have the bartender come after us to ask for a tip. A tip for what rudeness and terrible service !!! If you are a local he treats you like gold, but if you are someone he doesnāt recognize, he treats you very poorly. Do better, this place is a great restaurant and come here often.
To be specific, we ordered nachos with just cheese on top. My wife is gluten free and was just looking for something she could eat off of the menu. When the nachos came out with everything on top, we politely said we didnāt want them as we were just looking for cheese. The waiter was very polite and said no problem, Iāll send you out another one. A couple minutes later, the manager came over with the same order of nachos and said we had to take that order, or nothing else. We quickly denied it and he said it was too hard to make another order with just cheese. He refused to allow to put another order in and decided that starring at us throughout the night while still dining in was the best course of action.
I would def recommend this restaurant to others but would avoid this manager as he isnāt polite and just looking to converse with locals and not people who come down for weekends and enjoy a great...
