Fat Boy's BBQ — Restaurant in Bridge City

I tried this place for the first time and was blown away by the extraordinary flavor of each dish. I ordered sliced brisket and sliced turkey with baked beans and green beans and bananna pudding for dessert. The baked beans were delicious. They were not the kind you might expect out of a can you get at several bbq restaurants in the area, but specially made. The green beans were fantastic! They had meat in them and were perfectly cooked. They were well seasoned. The smoked turkey had a great flavor and the brisket was moist and tender, also woth a great flavor. I came here for the first time during lunch while traveling for work. The first thing I noticed was that there isn't a diner so I had to eat in my vehicle which was a little difficult. I ordered the two meat plate with ribs, sliced brisket, beans and potato salad. The brisket was dry and just bland. The ribs were pretty good. The beans reminded me of ranch style beans with sugar in them. The potato salad reminded me of mashed potatoes with a lot of mayonnaise in it which I kinda liked even though it was different since I love mayonnaise. They have lots meat on their ribs. Worth the money forsure. Drive thru is fast. The place appears very clean. I've never had an issue w any of my orders or cleanliness. I live in Orange and I'd rather drive there than ever experience what I did at Pinehurst BBQ which doesn't even come close to this place. It always looked so nasty. But I gave them the benefit of the doubt. And the largest roach ever in the sauce. Thats when I searched out for a new place and I'm glad I did. This place is great and now I don't feel like my dollar is wasted. These ribs have ton meat and fall off the bone. See for yourself....
