South Mountain Tavern — Restaurant in Bristol

It’s really unfortunate that this once popular place has become what it is! Limited operation hours ( what bar isn’t open on a Saturday??!) and VERY slow service. The line was almost out the door for drinks/food! If they had more help, they wouldn't be losing buisness. One person to bartend, take orders and run the food is ridiculous! The first round of drinks (only two) were $23! Then when I went back to order the EXACT SAME drinks they were $19. Will not recommend, and will not return. Spent the last 2 nights at this spot, it’s our favorite place in Bristol!! Kristen was so nice to us and she served us drinks all night long as we ate Andy’s special smash burgers, fries, chicken sandwiches and wings!!! The live band was awesome everyone was dancing and having a grand old time, we also played a few competitive games of pool! No one wanted to leave and the band gave the people what they wanted with 3 Encore songs!! We wrapped up our Vermont trip with an amazing night at the South Mountain Tavern, thank you so much...

This place is your basic, everyday corner bar, where everyone knows your name, the service is friendly and the food works perfectly for the evening. Great burgers though and awesome martini's.
