I called at 4:05 to place a to go order. Was told "it's easier for them if I just order online" I asked if there were descriptions and was told yes. I was hoping to pick up around 5:30. There was 5:20 & 5:40, so I chose 5:40. I tried to pick up at 5:40 and was told "when it's ready it will be on the table" then she walked away, came back 5 minuteslater and said it would be a little longer. There were several people standing outside waiting for their to go orders as well. At 5:55 my food was at the table. The burger was ordered medium and it was a ball of well done ground beef, my husband took one bite and it went in the trash becauseit was so dry. He ate the garlic fries (they are no longer shoelace fries, they are thick). My chicken dish also came with fries but the site didn't mention they would be heavily covered in a Cajun spice, I didnt eat them and most of the sandwich went in the trash as well. The smoked chicken in the sandwich was ok, but very fatty. This is not the 1st time in the last 6 months that we have had similar experiences. I understand things are different in food service due to covid, but I'm very disappointed and we will not be visiting again any time soon. I would recommend more descriptive items on the menu and if you say 5:40 and given an hour and 35 minutes, please make sure it is...
Read moreWe made a reservation for (8) at 8:15 on 7/05/13. Got there at 8:18 and were told by the hostess that we would be seated "momentarily." OK. . so we knew that was a bit of a stretch by the looks of the crowd. (6) of us went out onto Main Street to wait and (2) of us stayed inside. . . the front of the house has nowhere to wait and we didn't want to make it difficult for other guests or the servers. After 25 minutes of no communication and the hostess going out of her way to linger in the back of the house to avoid an update, I went back to inquire about our table. The response was "I have no control over what happens once a table gets their check." My response: "but had you not said "momentarily" and gave me this information at the onset, we might have been able to make a different decision, given the size of our party." Her response: "I am not going to ask them to leave and I have no control. .." Not a word about taking any responsibility for the "momentarily" that snagged us in the first place. My ultimate decision. . after absolutely no apologies or any attempt to mitigate the now-almost-30 minutes of (8) people standing around (no seats at the bar either). . ."think we will go elsewhere". Her parting shot: "have a nice night." Seriously??? ...

It's definitely not your standard "american food fare and beer", a number of steps above that. The food is both surprisingly well crafted and seasoned, but also comes out of the kitchen without a huge wait. They must be doing something right because I don't see a rotating staff of employees either. Both a good sign they're treating and paying their employees a fair amount, and an obvious boost to their speed and service since they're not retraining new people every other week.
They've got a few window spots for the tourists with the nearby mountains visible which is super nice, but the interior is also cozy and reminds me a bit of an old Italian restaurant.
Great first date, or 15th date spot. Employees are very personable, and make it a joy...
