Bottom line: This place is a waste of your money and time. This place has more nerve than it does class or good food. Go somewhere else!
We moved into the area just recently and was told to go here. We have now been there twice, and both times, we had a low-grade experience. Once with my significant other, and the additional time with an 10-person party. With all the luxury vehicles parked outside, and the location on the water in Bristol, you would think you would have a first-class experience with service, food, and atmosphere. Expect Less! Let's start with the 10-person party. We made a reservation a month before and arrived 30 minutes early. The woman at the door had a hot/cold personality and seemed to be only engaging and charming to 'regulars.' I stood there, myself, while the rest of the party arrived for 15 minutes without anyone talking to me. They made us wait 45 minutes to be seated as well. We had senior citizens and young kids in our group, and we just had to stand there. (There wasn't even space at the bar to sit) At one point, the women told us to wait outside.) When we finally sat down, our waitress was delightful. However, we found out that all the "kids" meals were adult meals at total $20+ prices. The kids ate like 1/8th of the meal and were full. We asked for kids menu, she read off the options, and we ordered them. Never once were we told they were so expensive/large! We ordered oysters and clams from the raw bar. They were dull and tasted boring. I found that Cork and Rye Gastropub was about 100% better and cheaper in Warwick! I had the stuffed lobster. Out of the 10 meals, that was the only good one. However, as you can see from other people's pictures, it's essentially a lobster shell that they shoved lobster meat from other lobsters. Its presentation was minimal, but the meat was tender. The drinks from the bar. Don't get me started! They were super low standard. One person from the party had an old-fashioned and got a Shirley temple-like drink. It was strong and obnoxious looking The bill was over $600, but I felt like I had just left a Gregg's Diner dinner. This was the second time I went there, and we will never be returning.
The first time we went there was as a couple going out for a night. We pulled up in our luxury vehicle, walked up in our business casual clothes, and tried to check-in. Not once were we greeted. Others walked in, dressed fancy and from similar luxury vehicles, and were greeted nicely. There was a semi-bald guy who tip toed around the women in the front of the house, but she was the primary gatekeeper. i don't know what it is about this place, but it feels like we weren't part of the club and shouldn't...
Read moreThis was the worst experience in a restaurant in my life. We will not go back and we will warn people off going there. First let me say that waitstaff always says how great we are to serve. We always let the chef know how much we enjoyed our meal and same to the wait staff. Ok, now the review. Social distancing was zero despite a sign saying the opposite. Tables were way too close and we had to keep asking our waitress to back up. I got a champagne sangria that tasted nothing like one and was so sour I requested the bar add simple syrup. When it came back there was no change. My husband said they couldn't have added it so I requested some simple syrup so I could do it. That helped but it still wasn't sangria. I next ordered the scallops with risotto. After a long wait it arrived burnt. I was acrid and there were bits of black burnt pieces . They took it back to the kitchen and that one tasted the same as the first one. Serving something burnt once should never happen but it happened 2 times! I changed my order to the lobster saute, another mistake it was drowning in margarine not butter. It was so greasy I only ate some of it when I had to stop because it was giving me an upset stomach. I talked to the hostess even though I had asked for the manager. She said they are highly rated. No apology. When I mentioned having the meal comped she said she didn't know what to do about that. Three horribly meals and nothing. Thanks a lot. I will...
Read moreWent in and we were seated right away. There were only 2 other tables occupied. When the waitress came over, she brought us water and left about 10 minutes later she brought us bread. Maybe 10 to 15 minutes later she took our order, never asked us if we wanted a drink. We were there for atheist 30 minutes when the waitress placed a drink in front of me. A drink I didn't order. Ten minutes later she walked by and I stopped her told her yhat I didn't order that drink. She picked up the drink and left, still never asked if we wanted a drink. I got up and told the hostesses that I wanted to order a couple of drinks and that our waitress never asked if we wanted drinks.A few minutes later we got our drinks,by this time a few more people came in. My husband wanted to leave. He was going to put$5 on the table for the water and go. I said give it another minute ,luckily we got our drinks. The couple on the side of us asked 3 times for bread, they never got. A man, woman, and a child got up and left because they said they had waited 40 minutes and hadn even gotten their salad, when people came in after them and already had their meals. The food was very good. The service was very poor. We spent $128.00...
