North End Market & Deli — Restaurant in Brockton

Really great menu prepared by really great folk. My introduction to this place was cool. My favorite sub shop closed doors and i was unable to find a really good meatball sub and steak bomb in the area (i was then living in Stoughton). My mom was having her hair done and in the course of idle salon chit-chat she mentioned my plight. North End was suggested by a chorus of women working and waiting. That week we called in an order and i went to pick it up. I walked in and got in line to pay. In looking around, i spotted a person i went to school with from K thru 12. Upon further observation, i noticed another person i went to school with. As it turned out, Joe and Fran were the owners. As i went to pay i read the "Specials" board .. It being Thursday. Portuguese Kale Soup was available. I ordered 3 for the family to enjoy that evening. I got home .. We unpacked the food .. My dad's pepper steak went uneaten at that mealtime. He cracked the lid of the soup .. Smiled .. And abandoned his initial intention to devour his sandwich offering: "i'll eat the sandwich later" He kept slurping and via closed-mouth noises expressed his supreme satisfaction. Great...

A true hidden gem located right in Brockton, Ma! Who would have thought than unassuming take-out joint would have some of the best seafood in the greater Brockton area? The seafood platter is packed with fish, shrimp, scallops, and whole bellied clams. I love how they package it in a pizza box so the contents don't get soggy on the trip home! The pizza is also good as well, while not a true "bar pizza" it's head and shoulders above average from most pizza joints that serve plastic cheese on ketchup and cardboard crust. I took my father there several weeks ago and we ended up eating right there. The restaurant is spotless and the staff was super-friendly and even brought our food over to us. I haven't tried anything else on the menu but the seafood and pizza but I'm looking forward to trying their...

I had a very disappointing experience when trying to place a pizza order over the phone. The woman who answered was rude from the beginning, with a noticeably poor attitude that made the interaction uncomfortable. Instead of offering help or clarification, she was short, dismissive, and unprofessional. It got to the point where we decided not to proceed with the order.

Shockingly, she called back after we declined, not to apologize or resolve the issue, but to give us even more attitude. Completely unacceptable behavior for someone in a customer service role. Needless to say, we won’t be ordering from here again, and I would caution others to consider where they’re spending...
