China House — Restaurant in Brookville

We stopped there after 1 pm. I have passed by this restaurant numerous times before I finally decided to stop in. I had asked them what time their buffet was open til. I was told that it would be open until 3. There was hardly anything on the buffet and what was on it was not hot. It was small buffet compared to others that I have eaten at . As far as the food, I was told that if there was anything that was out, they would make it. I eat three or four things at a time with each plate and of course what I wanted they didn't have any of it out. They did make a big plate of fried rice as per my request. The food that we were able to eat was good. Unfortunately, we stopped in about 4:45 and there were no other customers and no food on the buffet. She said she would bring it out fresh (and she did bring SOME out and it was good), but there was not much of a selection. She only brought out a few dishes. We patiently waited for about 30 minutes expecting they would be filling the buffet since it was dinner time. But nothing more was brought out. I love that we in Brookville has a good Chinese restaurant. This is 1 of my favorite in town. We have eaten at the buffet and liked the variety of dishes. We mostly get take out and it’s always good.
