I've been hoping that Dairy Cottage would live up to its history, even though the ownership has changed. But, the cliche of "it use to be better" applies. I had high hopes when they remodeled the place. However, the food quality has gone down. I can't tell you how many G-boy burgers with JoJo's that I've ordered that are served lukewarm or cold. You would think you waited to eat it home, but no, it's a dine in order. This has been every visit over the past few years of the new ownership. The cheese isn't even melted. It's disappointing when you grew up with Dairy Cottage and would brag about it to the out of towners. I would tell people to check out Dairy Cottage when visiting Brookville. I'm too embarrassed now. Today, I'm kinda over it. The thermostat was set to 66° in January, would have sworn it was colder, and my family received cold food again. The fried chicken appears to be hot most of the time, I've lost confidence with everything else. I hope someone else buys it. Did great with the remodel, dropped the ball on...
Read moreAbove average food for what it is. The chicken on the bone is phenomenal. Itâs fresh and seems locally sourced. The sides also are great. Five stars for them. The staff unfortunately are extremely unhappy, inattentive, and immature. They will NEVER give you any napkins or eating utensils. You have to beg for them and then check your bag and nearly always find them missing. Their beverage machine is always horrendous. This is why they offer so many flavors to mix in to hide their radical failures to provide adequate drinks. If I were Pepsi, Iâd pull their contract itâs so bad. Their coney dogs are consistently terrible. The bread is always stale and it falls apart in your hands. Stick to fried chicken on the bone and Jo Joâs and you wonât be disappointed. Try anything else and buy a casket because itâs...
Read moreThe cashier didnât know what she was doing or anything about the menu. I got chicken tenders and she said that itâs $4 to add a side but only for certain sides. When we asked to upgrade the side to the mozzarella sticks she was so confused. We finally got our food and we didnât get the mozzarella sticks (werenât rang in or charged either) we had to be rang up again for the mozzarella sticks that she didnât add onto our bill. The chicken was almost black and had to wait at the register for a while, twice to get ranch and marinara sauce. Didnât get icecream but saw them mess up two ice cream orders while we were there as well as a sandwich. The other people there were complaining about the service the whole time as well. It wasnât busy at all, everyone working looked to be under 20 and needs to...
