Food was near tasteless. Costs more than the local competitors. Really has taken a turn for the worst since the new people bought the place.
They use prepackaged everything it seems like. They canât even butter toast properly. They use a squirt bottle to butter your toast⌠itâs not evenly applied at all and you can just see the lines of butter as they soak into the bread. Not worth my time or money to come back to this once amazing place.
One good thing about my experience was the hash browns that I ordered for breakfast once was cooked perfectly. The only reason this is 2 stars instead of one.
Donât confuse this review with just breakfast this review is applying to both sides of the menu. The new owners have really turned the quality of ingredients and preparation to near 0 compared to where this place was previously. Our local business is sadly gone now. Hopefully they turn things around.
Last point, they are nickle and diming customers. It screams desperation when you are charging extra for condiments. Nobody should be paying .50 for a cup of ranch. It costs the business less than .03 for that cup of ranch, hence the screaming desperation for a business who chooses to nickle and dime its patrons.
Will come back in 6 months to see if things...
Read more11/9/24 about 6:30 pm ish.. Stopped while passing through to visit my brother and he found this place while looking over google maps of the area. After trying it, i only have one phrase that comes to mind. Absolutely amazing and delicious. I got the large pulled pork sandwich with the house sauce on it, potato salad for the side, and sweet tea. True southern deliciousness across the board. He for the chicken bites (good sized from what i could see) and had baked beans (i tried, they're amazing too) with his. If you live around here and haven't been here, you're missing out. They should be everybody's go to spot before any chained fast food place. And if you're just passing through, it's totally worth the 6 or 7 mile trip off the interstate to eat here. I'm really surprised they didn't have more business. Two lovely young lady's were running the front this evening. Knowledgeable of the menu items, mature and professional. (they were having to handle a small issue with a problem customer when we arrived). For it being my first time there, I was thoroughly impressed from the point of walking in, to the moment of driving off. The entire experience was one to be remembered and...
Read moreI have nothing negative to say about the food, employees or service. My problem is Henryâs lack of support of the Coal miners who are on strike. The miners ask for a simple sign to be posted supporting the miners. The previous owner had allowed a sign near the road, not the current owner. I suggested (trying to help ) to the owner he extend the hours as many additional people would be in Brookwood for strike rallyâs at the ballpark, he chose not to and refuses to have a sign. I havenât eaten there since last summer and will stay away in support of Brookwood...
