The food was great, and the prices were reasonable with a generous proportion. I didn't dine in, so I can't give you my honest opinion of the service from a dining perspective. Nonetheless, the carry out service was excellent. Once I called to place my order, the owner, who answered, asked for my name. When I told her my name, which is the same last name of the restaurant, she was so delighted to know that. I later explained to her that I am an evacuee who has been displaced from Lake Charles due to the severe damages of my home by Hurricane Laura 🌀. I told her a friend who lives in Lafayette mentioned to me that the food at Nash's is really good. Obviously, I couldn't forget that name, right?😁 Anyhow, Ms. Nash, while I was engaged with placing my order, shared some kind and encouraging words, not just for me, but for the entire victims of Hurricane Laura. I was really impressed and touched. Those words meant so much to me, and they mean a lot to all whoever experienced such a tragic disaster. Once I received my food and returned to my hotel room and finished washing my hands, I started eating my food. As I was eating, I noticed some words on one of the containers with the bread pudding. The words read, "May your new home be built with love, patience and blessings. We are praying for you! Nash, Jenny and staff." I was so touched by such a heartwarming gesture to the extent I got so emotional. The food is great, and the people are great as well at Nash's. Thanks to both you, Ms. Jenny Nash, and your staff for being so empathetic, caring and supportive during these tough times as me, my family and the entire city and surrounding areas try to recover from the horrible aftermath of Hurricane 🌀 Laura.
By the way, I don't remember ordering bread pudding, nor do I remember seeing bread pudding with my order in the menu. Ms. Jenny Nash, if you added that great tasting bread pudding with my order for no extra cost, thank you very much. It was very delectable.😀 Once again, folks, that's even more proof of how friendly and loving the owner and staff are at Nash's.
May the Almighty continue to bless you, family, staff, your business and the food.🙏🏾
Thank you once more, and I will definitely patronize your restaurant whenever I spend time...
Read moreValentine’s Day 2023 was our first time visiting this place. The service was HORRIBLE we ordered our food and it took over and hour just to get the main entree & the our starter dish just a salad. Our waitress wasn’t so professional. She served me the wrong dish it was someone else entree. She removed it from the table and went delivered the plate to the couple that was over in the next room. I could see her through the glass door serving the guy the plate she removed from my table. She didn’t apologize she was overwhelmed because it was crowded for Valentine’s Day. When we asked her how much longer for the appetizer she rolled her eyes. I told her I will take it to go just bring the 2 main entrees she rolled her eyes. We asked her about a dish on the menu she had no clue of how the food taste or what was all included in the dish. We didn’t tip her because she wasn’t so friendly and she never came back to check on us but one time we was there over 2 hours. The food was good but the service matters as well. We like good quality food and good service. I will not go back just because of the taste of the food the service & wait time was horrible it takes both to draw a customer to make them happy. The price of the food was expensive but that was understandable because they had a selected menu for Valentine’s so I paid for good food and some horrible service pd 95.00 bucks. Please get some servers who care about their...
Read moreWe went to Nash's for dinner on Valentine's Day. They had a special limited menu that night which disappointed me at first. However, I soon realized it was a blessing because I am very indecisive, and it forced me to choose from fewer items. And, everything I chose was amazing! We started off with the stuffed portebellini mushroom appetizer. Omgosh! It was small but rich and delicious. Yum! We then moved on to the side salads. They were ordinary garden salads, but the homemade dressings were awesome! I had the blue cheese; my hubby had the Italian. Finally, I ordered the grilled fish with shrimp and crawfish topping with potatoes and veggies. The fish (redfish, I think) was light and fresh, and everything else was tasty. My husband got the veal masala, and I have to say it was one of the best I've ever had. The veal was so tender, and the sauce was decadent with the capers adding a scrumptious tartness. It was served with creamy garlic mashed potatoes. So good! The ambience is romantic (ask to be seated on the porch or in front of the fireplace), and our server was quick and knowledgeable. It is a tad loud inside, and the tables are pretty cramped, but we couldn't have asked for a better meal. We will definitely...
