Drink's Saloon — Restaurant in Brownstown Charter Township

Quite possibly the worst service I’ve ever had at any restaurant. It took over 70 minutes for me and my wife to get our burgers after we ordered them—BURGERS! Not a five course meal, but two BURGERS!

The place wasn’t even all that busy, and it seemed like this was on the cooks, as waitresses were apologizing to tables throughout the dirty joint—which included old, crusty food stuck on the menu—about their food taking so long.

However, upon asking our waitress how much longer it might be for our dinner—about 40 minutes after ordering it—when she came by our table (after a long absence) and inquired if we needed more DRINKS, it was obvious that she had totally forgotten about our food.

She then went back behind the line and checked with the cooks—within clear view of our table—and it looked like the ticket hadn’t even been put in!

She then came back to our table with a pretty half-hearted apology, and said the two burgers just went on the grill; this was also BS. ANOTHER 30 minutes later, and after numerous tables who definitely arrived well after we did were served, we were given our meal at last.

I hadn’t been here in over ten years, but came back because the burgers were always really big and really tasty—and I had not had a good burger in a really long time. The one I waited over 4,500 seconds for tonight was mediocre at best, and definitely wasn’t a half of a pound.

I’m pretty sure I could have driven to a farm out in the country, butchered a cow, extracted the meat, and cooked my own burger FASTER than the one I was served tonight at ol’ Drinks.

And was anything offered to be taken off of our $32 bill to try and make up for the NINETY minutes we spent at this bar? Nope, nothing.

Our experience at Drinks Saloon was awful on 10/8/2022. We arrived around 9:30pm with a large group. I asked for a White Claw. After waiting about 15 minutes I reminded her and asked if she could please bring it when she had time. About 10 minutes later, my husband asked her if I could have the drink I ordered when we arrived. Everyone else in our party had been served and some were on their second mixed drink by this point. I finally received my first drink after waiting 30 minutes. At 11pm I asked for my bill that was about $11. The transaction was ran for $30. I went to the bartender running the card and asked her to fix it. I was told "I need to calm down." I returned to my table and the waitress asked me to sign and tip on the $30 charge and they would refund me the $18 and change. By the following Tuesday there was still not a refund on my account. I returned to the bar and asked to speak with a manager regarding a few complaints. I explained what happened and was again told to "calm down". I don't understand why that is their response when they screw up. Beyond frustrated, I showed the staff at Drinks Saloon what a non-calm person acts and sounds like, so maybe now they know the difference. I finally received my refund the next day and will never...

I came in here about a month ago for a beer and a drink. It was a Saturday evening and wanted a place to watch some college football, grab a brew, and munch on something.

As far as food, the only thing open was the grill so I ordered some chicken wings. They weren't that good. They were soft, small and very fatty. I think that they were just those frozen wings. But the cook did put an extra one on the plate and they were cooked well. It was just the quality of the wings that I had an issue with. I also ordered ranch with it and the waitress brought out two. So I thought that was a nice liberal serving.

They did have a wide variety of beer on draft also, including Cherry Wheat, which is what I got. It was also pretty reasonably priced.

The thing that would bring me back to this place is the atmosphere. There was karaoke in the front and in the back there were pool tables and other games. It was all open too, with lots of seating.

Overall, the attmosphere and service would bring me back to this place. The food...well, I haven't had a big enough sample size, but the wings weren't...
