Dined in 4/22 and had a wonderful experience! Called ahead because I have a dairy allergy and wanted to make sure the items I was interested in were safe for me to enjoy. The young lady who answered the phone spoke with the gentleman cooking to ensure they could accommodate, which they could! When we got there I learned they have juice which is made fresh per order, I choose apple which was such a delight. You could tell it was juiced and not full of added sugars. You’re started off with a delightful bread basket and garlic sauce- which I would have put on everything. I ordered a falafel pita, a chicken shawarma, and shrimp dinner with salad and rice. Enjoying would be an understatement, shawarmas are priced at $12 a piece and worth every single bit of that, they are the biggest and most tasteful I have ever had! The falafel was so flavorful and the chicken shawarma was not dry like most are. My shrimp dinner was $23 and the 10 pieces of jumbo shrimp were nothing short of jumbo, I probably had 1lb sitting on my plate. Rice was phenomenal, with what I believe was rice noodles cut and tossed in also, topped with a grilled zucchini, carrot and beet slice (fries were an option but I love rice). This place does not disappoint one bit! Music was at a respectful level so I could talk to my guest and the severs comfortably. Water stayed filled the entire time, which is so important to me. I’m so glad I was given the recommendation! I...
Read moreAbsolutely blew my mind, i dont keep any expectations with my food and dining service but some of the things ive found that other local Mediterranean places are missing in terms of quality and flavour of the food is lacking, and i was very suprised and actually esstatic over every bit of food ive ordered. The pine nuts in the rice are something ive seen in traditonal mediterranean meals and ive very rarely gotten them at a majority of the places i go to for shwarma, and speaking of the shwarma: theyre shwarma here really ended up filling in the umami i got when eating my first wrap years and years ago from the chef at the catering establishment i worked for, the meat between the chicken and the lamb both meats are really well treated in whatever process they use (i think its a marinade) to make it meal ready. The fresh bread is such a wonder i cant even express how happy i got on my way home when i felt the flour when i reached for one of them. I also requested an order of raw kibi, which im very much enjoying and even more so enjoying ordering again. The presentation of it was amazing too, jalepenos are a personal favorite of mine and i enjoyed the addition of them, it genuinly brought the whole dish together for me conpletely. Walked in with a empty belly, walked out extremely happy (drove home, plated,...
Read moreI normally think to get a photo or two for a place that I am going to review but in all truthfulness when my wife and I walked into this restaurant the amazing smoky smell of the place had my mouth watering and all I could think of was "what's for lunch". I am normally a burgers and fries kind of guy but my wife is making me expand a little.
I had the Chicken Shawarma lunch with potatoes and the Lamb chili. It was in all honesty the best meal I have had in years. The portion was huge, Kelly (my wife) had the same thing but with the roasted vegetables and the vegetables looked like they just came out of the garden, huge and fresh.
The table bread are pitas that were made just as we walked in and the garlic dip that they put at the table is to put simply delicious.
It's a family run restaurant with the "grandpas" working the kitchen and you can tell they take it seriously. Our server was polite, friendly and "johnnie-on-the-spot" with drinks, and checking in on us.
I will be going back again this week, I have already told my son that this is my lunch spot when he takes me on my weekly "dad-I-need-something" visit...LOL.
If you're looking for delicious food and lots of it for a great price, you can't go wrong. I would venture that this is definitely a place worth a bit of a...
