Brownstown Event Center — Local services in Brownstown Charter Township

Rented the center on a Sunday and they give an 8hr time frame, you pick the start and end time. Friendly attendant from the center, very spacious and clean venue. Had approximately 80 guest and everything fit perfectly. What I didnt like is that within that 8 hr window your setup and clean up time has is included in those 8 hrs, which is a bummer because it cuts time from your party. It would've been great to have a definite closing time since it's a Sunday, but open up the hall early enough to have time to decorate. I had 3 kids days here, so for a wedding I'd feel there wouldnt be enough time to setup and decorate knowing you have to do it within 8 hrs plus clean up. You have to sweep and mop if needed before leaving and general clean up. Kitchen has fridge, ice machine, and warmer. No microwave which was super inconvenient, needed it to warm up food for people who arrived later and to warm baby food. They should add one in that venue....

Please be aware there's a BIG difference in the "EVENT" center and "COMMUNITY" center. I noticed the reviews are almost all for the "COMMUNITY" center. No splash park at this "event center". Food was horrible. Was a guest at a graduation party. Hall catered food. Shredded pork sandwiches were horrible and dry. I realize food selection was hosts choice, but the taste and quality were poor. There was a small office right next to the front door (4 foot away) with a staff member inside and the door open. It was a good experience visiting back after a while it is conveniently located easily accessible not a parking meet and clean for any kind of events conferences meetings and get togethers. I will recommend people to rent in advance to fulfill the purpose of the brownstown event center for the local community and surrounding areas to utilize anytime.
