I love finding hidden gems. In the hills of the Hoosier Heartland, between Seymour and Bedford, lies Brownstown, the seat of government in Jackson County, and home of the infamous Jackson County fair. Brownstown is also home to Blondie’s Pizza, right on US 50 across from the historical courthouse. I have eaten at a Blondie’s Pizza in Berkeley, which is well-known in California, and I have to say I love my Hoosier Blondie’s way better. I have not tried everything on the menu, but my favorite so far is the Bombshell, which basically has everything on it. The crust is excellent and stands up to a loaded slice. You can also order a pizza with a thin crust, which is nice and crunchy if that’s the way you like your pizza. They serve the pies piping hot, straight from the oven to your table. You can see my steaming slice in the video. I have tried the stromboli, but prefer the pizza. If the stromboli were a little bigger on a better bun, and matched what is on the pies, it would be awesome. I would love to be able to buy it by the slice, but I understand a small town establishment does not have the volume to make it profitable to sell by the slice, besides, it’s nice to have a few leftover pieces for the next day. We also tried some of the ice cream from next door, sold by the pint. Not only was it amazing ice cream, with a fantastic flavor (carrot cake), we had to leave so we wouldn’t gain 20 pounds! I love Blondie’s because of the quality of the pies and the friendliness of the staff and owners. Blondie’s is an hour away from my house, but it is well worth the drive. If given the choice and I have the time, I will always make the drive to Brownstown for Blondie’s pizza. This is an independent, uncompensated review.

The food was good, very hot when we got it . My daughter had the pulled pork BBQ hoagie, She said not alot of meat more bread. She didn't like the pickles they used. She said it was good but not ordering that again if we go back. I got a pasta dish and it was good. I could not eat it all had to take home leftovers. We was very cold sitting at our table and noticed when we was leaving that the door was cracked open with the latch to lock door.

Amazing pretzel worth the $9 price tag. The lasagna rolls were made to order with your choice of toppings and had a wonderful marinara. The pizza was handmade crust and plenty of toppings and cheese. Staff was bustling and jovial. Would return and recommend. Beer only served here.

We ordered taco pizza, cheese pizza, pulled pork nachos, and the Mac and cheese. Overall no complaint about the food based on those examples. I'm not a huge pizza fan but it was good. I tried their beer on tap and it was okay (not a beer fan either but no hard alcohol). The staff and pricing were great. I'd give it 5 stars except it is a little small and was a bit warm inside. However, that may be more of a personal preference rather than reflection of the place. There appeared to be another room for event or party seating. Even with an event going on and most of the tables full the service was quicker than I expected. Overall worth the try. I will...

I would definitely recommend a pizza that is half chicken bacon ranch and half buffalo chicken. I also prefer the original crust to the thin. The bombshell pizza is my favorite. I would also recommend the build your own lasagna. Plenty of seating. Craft beer on tap. There is also plenty of parking around the square. This had never happened before, but the last time I was there it was very smoky/poor air quality. Not sure if the oven was broken, fryers were dirty, or if someone was smoking in there? I always thought it was a non smoking...
