Burger King — Restaurant in Brownsville

I don’t even know where to begin, the customer service at this specific location has to be the worst customer service I’ve seen anywhere else in fast food in Brownsville.

You can wait in line for 5-10 minutes before they even acknowledge you’re there, they know you’re there but they ignore you until they eventually feel like attending to you and the line that has accumulated. Staff doesn’t care much and they obviously treat customers in their “I don’t want to work here” attitude. Management is also terrible with the manager having a bad attitude 24/7 and becoming defensive when bringing up the service. This is beyond terrible considering there is never that many people eating here, and if you ever see a line form at the drive-thru just know it’s because they take their sweet time being unproductive in the kitchen as well as the front, and not because of a sudden “Burger King craze.” This is ridiculous and very unprofessional on their part and I would highly discourage anybody from eating at THIS specific location. Other places in Brownsville are way better and properly attend to the customers wants with a mutual respect being instated. I could go on for longer but I’ll stop now before I end up writing an entire essay on why the service here is atrocious.

The food isn’t horrible but extremely dry, and the ingredients are usually never fresh. The quality of the food is just way below average compared to other Burger King chains in the valley. If you were absolutely starving and every other place was closed (which there are multiple fast-food restaurants open 24/7 within a 1 mile vicinity anyway) then just maybe you’d eat here.

The place was renovated just a few years ago and it received an interior upgrade and somewhat an exterior one (the parking lot still has a lot of cracks and potholes). Upon entering there is a heavy atmosphere that feels hot and unpleasant. The AC feels as if it’s only working periodically. The air here also feels dense as if it becomes harder to breathe regularly requiring a little more effort, probably due to the kitchen lacking proper/efficient circulation.

This is my first ever review, and probably my last since I never leave reviews (especially bad ones) due to me just wanting to enjoy my food and to continue on with my day. The fact that I felt that this review was necessary should mean something in regard to this specific location. My credibility lies with the fact that I’ve lived going to this Burger King my whole life (I live in close proximity) and it’s been getting and worse and worse over the past years. This burger king is the grossest one I've ever had to be in. I have to be here for work, and multiple times I've encountered roaches, both big and small. The playground area is infested with ants and very filthy. I came for a work visit and sat on a table in the playground area, and when I came back the following week and sat on the same table, the same trash from the week prior was still here.

The mats on the playground have layers of filth and are broken, which is a trip hazard for children running around. We asked an employee to clean a specially filthy area on the mats and we were told they would but no one ever did.

The wifi is inconsistent and doesnt work many times, and when employees are asked about it, I've been given attitude and told theres nothing they can do about it. Get this, I order a burger and they say they are out of meat so I order a chicken sandwich and it takes two different employees to ring it up, I said forget it and walked out. I went back at 9:15 am on 8/7/22, breakfast sandwich was cold, potatoes rounds were burnt and cold, coffee cold, and all I got was dirty looks from the help because I requested new potatoe rounds and the coffee heated up. They getting only 2 stars. Why do I go back you ask? Well it's on my route but I won't in the future.
