Louie & Eric’s New York Pizzeria — Restaurant in Brownsville

This was a 5 star rating a year ago I’ve always always loved this pizza but tonight when I went to call for delivery I noticed they have changed their name to Louie and Eric’s … I was nervous with the name change that they may have changed food brands or recipes or ovens. It is the saddest day ever they have the worst crust now the crunch the crispy texture the flavor of dough it’s gone!!! I think someone thought it would be a good idea to paint brush the sauce on and the layer of fresh basil leaves were chopped into thin pieces and barely there and charged for a one topping pizza with that few is a shame. If this was Eric’s idea it was a really bad move. I had to delete my 5 star rating from last year sorry I am so incredibly disappointed Please bring back the real famous NY pizza we know and love...

The pepperoni pizza, canoli, wings, and parmesean fries were great. It's kinda small and had a club type of feel with no music, not appropriate for a pizzeria. It was similar to almost eating in the dark but with a black light on. The fries and specialty pizzas are overpriced, the rest is reasonable. I'd recommend to get the one topping large pies. I would come again but just for takeout on the pepperoni. The specialty pizza I bought was bland and soggy (expensive) but pepperoni one was perfect. Myself and a relative did get an upset stomach here so I'll be giving a low rating. I'd be willing to give a 2nd chance in the future if they change it back to just Louies I kind of missed it when it was just Louies Pizza with the 80s/90s decor. Hadn’t been here in years and was a bit skeptical after reading a few recent reviews, but I must say that the food tasted so much better than I even remembered! We got the pepperoni pizza and it was delicious. We also got the small order of fries with Yankee seasoning and wow!!! I totally recommend anyone to give it a try! The whole ambiance did change and it was indeed pretty dark with neon lights, which was odd at first, but it somehow became comforting? Service was also great and they were very sweet all along.
