Very disappointing experience. I've had decent experiences before that were fine, but not last night. The length of time this went on is my biggest concern for writing this review.
Went to get dinner for two through carryout and was told it would take about 10 or 15 minutes. I went in after 20 minutes to employees who all acted unaware of me ever placing an order except for the cashier-- even though there were only 2 or 3 employees on duty, in the same area near the phone and kitchen space, with only two other customers in the restaurant. My girlfriend waited in the car alone for 25 minutes as they made our food. When we got the food back home, my burger was missing several components and had a quarter of it missing-- as if the patty itself were cut straight through with a knife and then thrown back onto the bun lopsided. The pancake I got appeared to have been cut open all along the bottom, as if it were scraped off a hot pan or dropped on the floor. Not to mention the strange orange marks on it. The pancake came on top of hash browns, so it was really greasy. The portion of eggs I got was incredibly small, as in the size of a finger, and cooked on too high heat.
When I went to take my food back, the staffed employees didn't know how to give me a refund. I spent a little over fifteen dollars there and had to wait about 45 minutes for the employees to call their manager who was not on scene, then opted to use Snapchat to contact them with me present. The employees were then walked through how to give me back my money but ended up giving it to me out of pocket.
Ordering here was not worth the hour and a half of time it took to be done with. From ordering, to waiting, to going back and waiting for my refund, my girlfriend and I ended up not getting any dinner and feeling very upset about a restaurant we were hoping to frequent more often. The experience may have been better with a sit in experience, but I'm too wary to find out...
Read moreMy wife made our normal Monday stop here today after spend several days at the Omni Homestead. Basically one of only a few places to eat breakfast on Monday when headed home. We have never been disappointed here and today was no exception.
We where greeted when we entered the place and our server was very quick to see what we wanted to drink. Once we placed our order the food arrived quickly looking delicious and it was very hot. She checked on us regularly to make sure we were doing ok.
The place is very clean to include the bathrooms and outside of the place. Prices are very reasonable and portion sizes are just about perfect not too large or too small.
If you are traveling thru this area and are looking for really good local place to eat we recommend Penny’s Diner. It located just off the highway east to get off and back on headed in...
Read moreWorst dining experience of my life. One star but really wouldn't give it any stars if possible. Everything was going alright until 30 minutes after they took our order the waitress came out and said that there was only one steak left so we changed that order to a philly cheesesteak with raw onions cheese. When it came out it had tomatoes. There were three of us, all Latinos might I add, and all our orders came out at different times. When another family came to dine we heard them tell the kids "before you get the special treatment" and proceeded to take their order. I've never felt so disrespected. They didnt even add up our tabs and when we went up to pay they said they were giving us a 10% discount but when we paid it was the same amount. Definitely never coming back. Still...
