Final edit:
Being a stranger, someone from out of state, isn't the easiest when you're seeking something comfortable. Somewhere I can feel at least seen as a person.
I finally asked a regular, "What is it about this place that I have to ask for a drink?"
"You have to talk to them," he replied. "See that lady? She's Rebecca. That guy is Daniel, and he's a manager. They're good people, but you have to talk to them."
Lesson learned, good sir.
It gets worse. I was basically ignored waiting. Now, I'm an observant individual. I wouldn't make these reviews in detail of I weren't. When I notice staff talking to one another, and I have to ask for another drink, this is a problem. I am pretty much done with this place. It would seem right now that there isn't a drinking establishment with what I'm seeking: staff that will talk to you, service that pays attention to empty glasses, and a place that I can not feel like a stranger from a different state in.
I admit I may have visited at a bad time. Here are my takeaways:
Service: it wasn't the best. The place had a population in single digits when I was there, and I had to wait for service. This isn't good for a place I want to drink in. I could have understood if it were busy, but it wasn't.
Atmosphere: it's muted, for the most part. The servers don't interact with you. There's soft random music on the jukebox, and sports stuff always on the televisions. Great if you're into sports. Overall, I took nothing from it, and it didn't impress me.
I will amend this review upon visiting again during a busier time, and add a food review as well. Right now, I'm not seeing this as a place to...
Read moreThis has to be one of the worst managed establishments I’ve ever been to. What makes it sad is the food is amazing, great atmosphere, but the service is just not there. You could clearly give each bartender or waiter a 4 table section which is not a lot. I’ve come here three times already, giving them the benefit of the doubt, because like I said the food is great.
The owner clearly doesn’t care how the manager runs their business. I looked at the Yelp Reviews and clearly they haven’t changed their standards or talked to the individuals who don’t know how to give even mediocre service. My husband had wave down several waiters just to get food or drinks. The gentleman that originally had served us was by far the worst waiter I’ve ever experienced. He rang in our order wrong, forgetting about us entirely eventually. The waitress who took our food order skipped my husband entirely. Calling another waiter to get his order in.
This place maybe only be good when no one else is the building, because clearly half the staff can’t handle more than a one table section. This place won’t be in business for long. I just feel awful that there was only one waitress picking up the slack for the entire Bar.
Skip this location until the owners changes management and hires based on skills, not on looks.
