The people running Drip are so welcoming and really made us feel like we were coming to their house for breakfast. They took great care of our whole group and made some delicious food for us. We actually ate lunch one day and then came back the next for breakfast. Their cheese burger special was delicious. The meat was seasoned well and the fries were nice and crispy. For breakfast, I got a breakfast burrito with sausage and some delicious biscuits and gravy. It’s true comfort food that’s perfect after a rainy night camping on the James River. I tried their coffee too and it was excellent. I almost forgot, their sweet tea was perfect. Just the right amount of sweetness. After you eat, grab a scoop of ice cream. They have Homestead Creamery ice cream that’s phenomenal and perfectly creamy. If you spend a day on the river, this place is a must-stop before heading home! Thank you to the...

I had come off the river on the 4th day of a 5-day kayak camping trip, and had polished off my supply of Mike's Hard before arriving. It wasn't until a day later that I realized I drunk-tipped an insane amount.
Totally worth it though. It's almost bizarre how rare it is for restaurants to treat you a little better if you're willing to pay a bit more. The people here did. It may sound a bit convoluted, but I sincerely appreciated their good food and even better service, so was very impressed when they did yet more for me and my group.
Very nice people on top of the...
Read moreWhat a gem this place is. Family owned and run (so friendly and welcoming), immaculately clean and great coffee and breakfast foods made on the spot. We also bought some fresh locally sourced lemonade in a glass bottle to take with us on our road trip, and noticed the milk (ice cream etc.) is also locally sourced. Bonus: right across the street from one of the oldest swinging bridges in the country and a giant iron LOVE sign that's perfect for photo ops. Strongly recommend you stop here if you can, it's only a few minutes off the 81 and worth a stop...
