I have spent time at Molinas in Buckeye, and I have spent time at Colados, which is their competitor, in Goodyear. Both of these restaurants are creperies, and both of them seem to do a very good job and work very hard at providing a positive experience for their customers. Molina's has had a more French. version of crepes, than Colados. Colados uses a type of Dulce de leche, which I do not care for. If you desire a different filling, such as cream cheese, you must ask. Granted, I usually order a whole wheat, fruit-based Crepe, with a strawberry filling. My husband orders a different type of crepe which has a different filling. If one orders a Chorizo Crepe, one certainly receives a filling of meat and cheese, not yogurt! Molinas did not let me know though that there would be a 30-minute wait. It was ironic, as I had just left Colados after they informed me, immediately upon arrival that there would be a 45-minute wait. I thanked them profusely, and let them know that I'd be back, although I would be going to Molinas that day. Nevertheless, We always try to take these things in stride, as we recognize that the lunch hour can be very busy, and quite demanding for the staffing, at both Creperies. I tried to order a peach crape, although Molina's was out of peaches. This has happened to me twice at Molinas. I simply chose a berry crepe with sweet cream on the inside. Molinas is a family-style restaurant. Molinas is smaller and has more intimate touches. They offer couches to sit on, as well as tables, and it is greatly directed towards the family unit. I am in complete support of that Colada's is a much larger operation, and sometimes those small personal touches are lost in two large dining rooms. All in all, they are affording us a different experience. Molina's simplicity and hometown feel inspired me to support them. Also, they have a rewards program, which Colados does not have. Nevertheless, if I wanted to have a party, I'd be more apt to consider Colados, as they are larger with a high volume of staff. However, their parking can be treacherous, which is in no manner their fault. Molina's provided me with more of a French crepe experience which is what I was seeking. If you are seeking a Quasi Spanish- French Crepe- you may be best at Colados. In this case, they are both good and neither needs to be greater or lesser than the other. Try both and appreciate their differences! I do have to give Molina's credit for their handicapped parking and their maneuverability inside the restaurant, for those in wheelchairs. Lastly, Molina's bathrooms, while only offering space for one; are ergonomically well-organized, and also have a...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThis place is a giant disappointment due to customer service and food handling practices, and an inspection is definitely needed.
Upon arrival there was one employee in the lobby, and after a few moments another employee is behind the counter. I approach and inform her that itās my first time there and that Iāll need some help understanding menu items as Iām gluten free.
I inquire about an item on their instagram and am met with a rude tone and āthatās not in season!ā to the point where Iām wondering if Iāve offended this employee. The same employee then asks me a question, that I donāt understand and I ask for clarification. Iām met with more rude tone and instead of explaining what sheās asking, she just repeats it a few times as she grows more frustrated each time. Keep in mind, I made it clear that Iām new here. The first employee interjected and explained that the other employee was asking if I wanted my crepe to be cilantro or chorizo flavored, pointed to a picture and explained that it was featuring a green cilantro crepe. I ordered cilantro flavor, but my order is not green? All that for an order not to be executed correctly? The confidence in their food to be allergen conscious is at an all time low.
During our wait in the lobby, the first employee was eating dominoās pizza in the prep area⦠which is an ultimate āeff youā in regards to the health of the customers, especially when you have to take a test for a food handlers card to prove you know right from wrong.
The rude employee was prepping our food and literally removed her mask to sneeze, and placed her mask back on. Another GIANT āeff youā to the health of the customers keeping this business open⦠and again, itās assumed that if youāre working behind the counter you have taken a test to prove youāre capable of doing so and understand the importance of good hygiene.
The employees here wear masks⦠all with complete disregard for the consumers health. Their priorities are clearly not with their consumer in...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreFirst time visitor to Molina's Creperie. First impression is the open and roomy restaurant. Everything looked very clean and decorated for Valentine's. The restaurant was inviting in every aspect. I was greeted with a pleasant "Good Morning" and my order taker was very pleasant and helpful in explaining the ingredients of some of their items. I ordered a Nutella crepe for my wife and I got myself a savory Carnitas crepe. I also ordered their iced Caramel Macchiato and their iced Nutella Latte. The drinks were flavorful, I would definitely have the macchiato again and try another drink next time. We took our orders to go so the pictures of the food is at our house. The Nutella crepe came with strawberries and bananas and was very sweet and delicious! The crepe was soft and thin with plenty of filling and toppings. The Carnitas crepe was like a really soft and tender burrito, with lots of flavor and filled me up very well! Food was fantastic and left me with an excellent impression! Definitely going to be a regular at Molina's! Oh, if you visit the restaurant, the front door sticks so be sure to pull hard during business hours. I witnessed on two separate occasions people walking away because they though the door was locked. The staff put a friendly sign on the door to "Pull Hard", but it seemed to go unnoticed. Hopefully the door gets fixed so patrons...
