Saw that this place got great reviews on a travel group I’m in so we stopped in yesterday when we were in Bucyrus. I was so disappointed. First we walked in and we weren’t sure if we were supposed to order at the counter, wait to be seated or seat ourselves. Waited a couple minutes then asked a lady who was standing along the wall. She said she didn’t know as she had never been there and was getting food to go. Saw a menu so stood looking at it for a couple minutes. Still not greeted or sure what to do so we seated ourselves. Seats on the booth were a bit dirty and very uncomfortable. Sat looking at a menu and a lady came and delivered food in a bag to another table. Never greeted us and walked away. My sister went back to the counter and ordered. Never asked her name. She came back and sat down. About 10-15 minutes a lady came and plopped a paper bag on our table. Again never said a word except maybe “here you go.” She was gone so fast. My sister got a gyro. She said it was OK but preferred the gyros from a place local to us. I got the small Greek nachos. It was packed in a tiny to go styrofoam container. I could not even see the chips or even get to them unless I wanted to dump everything out but I wasn’t given a plate to do so. So I had to eat pretty much all the toppings before I could get to the chips. The feta and tzatziki sauce was good. There were only 3 kalamata olives and the tomatoes were huge slices which would be better if they were diced. I ended up not eating them as I was just given a plastic fork and no knife to cut the tomatoes. The meat tasted good but overall I was so disappointed. If they are going to serve everything as a to go order, then the nachos should be packaged in a larger container so that it is easier to eat the way nachos should be and not eaten with a fork. Maybe if they ever go back to pre-Covid ways and serve food on plates, I may consider giving them...
Read moreMy first time ever going into Little Athens, first things I noticed was the smell different meats and saw a young man with a smile ready to take your order.
I went with my family consisting of my mom dad and brother. We ordered the Original Gyro, Athens Sampler Plate, and plain chicken tenders and fries. The chicken tenders came with a generous amount of fries and about 4-5 good sized tenders.
The gyro was a peta bread and similar to the fries a very generous amount of meat that was lamb and beef with a sauce on the top.
The finale meal was sampler plate that came with three slices of peta (we swapped one spinach pie for a second cheese pie) so two cheese pies the size of a hot pocket ish. The meal came with three wonderfully seasoned meats: chicken souvlaki skewer, souvlaki skewer, and gyro meat. All servings were more than we could eat, and for three meals will be getting about 6-7 meals out of it for $32 that is also including 4 canned drinks.
Overall the wait was about 10min to get three meals, happy service, and amazing quality food. If I could give them 10 stars i...
Read moreWow the food here is amazing-hands down!! The pita sampler was incredible with the bread warm and soft and the three dips each just grand-hummus, tzatziki and feta cheese spread. There was more food than we could eat, very generous with the fries which were hot and crispy, the meats were done just right and very juicy even the tomatoes and onions were fabulous!! Stop in, give your order and pay and either wait for take out or find a seat in the dining area and they will bring it to you. It was really busy but not a long wait. Our only complaint was the lady at the cash register was in dire need of some pleasantry skills-I think she was just tired but we felt like we were in the way, no smile and when I went back up to the counter for ketchup and salt she got it for me but I wasn’t going back up for anything else. We have wanted to stop by here when in Bucyrus but hadn’t done it yet-we are now looking for a way to get back there for dinner more often-what a...
