BEWARE POC! I visited this place twice - the first experience a couple months ago, I noticed that our food was taking long. My wife and I sat in the patio and we felt like we did not exist. People sat down way after us and were served quicker. We had to follow up with our server a couple of times and ask when our food was coming out; her response was "I'm so sorry". We must have ate 4 plates of that plain horrible salad while waiting for our food. FAST FORWARD to today, we went back because I always give a place the benefit of the doubt, but what my family and I experienced was just uncalled for. Once again, I observed 3 couples walk in 10-15 minutes after us and all 3 were served before us. NEVER did our server come to check on us at any point and when we flagged down a different server to explain that we never received our food, all she could say was "I'm so sorry, I'll go check" and then disappeared. They must be trained to say "i'm so sorry". WELL stop saying "i'm so sorry" and just treat ALL customers of color the same. To the owner, you might want to start having weekly customer service trainings on how your employees should treat every customer that walks through your door to spend their HARD EARNED money. We could have gone somewhere else to eat, but we chose to go to your place and the way we got serviced was horrible. People work hard to earn a living and when they go out to a restaurant, they want to feel good on what they spend. In this case, my family and I DID NOT feel good about spending our money at your place. Never again will I step foot into that bad environment. Treat all your customers the same when they walk through that door as they are the ones that allow you,the owner, to earn a...
Read moreMy wife and I came from Texas to visit our friends in San Diego. We lived in San Diego for well over 31 years. After I retired, I decided it was time to leave Southern California.
My family always loved going to Knox Berry Farm. I had a taste for Mrs Knott's Kitchen. I love the chicken.
We arrive at our hotel and I explained to the receptionist my wife and I were visiting and I was craving some chicken from Mrs Knott's Kitchen.
The receptionist asked me if I ever had Korean BBQ chicken. I've had all kinds of chicken. This brotha loves some yard bird 😁.
The receptionist told me to go to BBQ Chicken which was close to our hotel. I asked the receptionist was the chicken at this "BBQ Chicken" place better than Roscoe's Chicken and Waffles.
The receptionist said the chicken at "BBQ Chicken" by far, was better than Roscoe's Chicken. C'mon. Really?
I placed an order and went to BBQ Chicken. The price was reasonable and the portions were large.
My order was prepared in a timely manner. I get back to the hotel and my wife and I indulge.
In my opinion, the chicken at BBQ Chicken was the best chicken I have ever eaten. Chicken better than my momma makes.
Sorry Mom. I've have been missing out. This place is a must. If you love chicken, this place will blow you away.
Great chicken. Thank you for an awesome experience. I love all kinds of food. I write reviews on great food. Not good food.
There is a difference. Leave a good tip and show your love. You will be blessed for your kindness.
Keep loving each...
Read moreABSOLUTE HORRENDOUS customer service. Heed caution!!! One is likely to lose appetite. Excellent if your on a diet. Be on the look out for the guy with glasses and curly hair. My gosh. Trying to get someone, anyone to refill a drink, extra napkin, or condiments is an ordeal. Doesn't matter how many time one pushes the service button. They come around if they feel like it. Ask for extra napkins, and they might give you 2 or 3. My friend Asked for a refill on soda. They guy came back with a cup half full with no ice. Wouldn't at all be surprised if they grabbed a cup off a different table. If the place a busy One could understand, but it wasn't. That's just the service, now on to the food. The pickled radish was nearly rotten. NO JOKE, NEARLY ROTTEN. Had no idea pickled food could rot. Its suppose to be white, but NO NO NO, it was brown and yellow. The cabbage salad was at least a few days old. I've posted 100's of reviews on restaurants. BBQ CHICKEN IN BUENA PARK IS THE WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPION FOR THE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE (The fella with curly hair and glasses must be carefully observed). And if you are brave and insist on trying it, go on a day you feel lucky, and do diligence on inspecting the food before consuming. WORD TO THE OWNER OF THE ESTABLISHMENT. If you value your business and customers. Keep an eye on your employees. When the owners away, the workers will play and DRIVE YOUR BUSINESS INTO THE GROUND. I'm a restaurant owner...
