Los Aztecas Mexican Restaurant — Restaurant in Buena Vista

I wrote the below review a few years ago. Yesterday my wife and I went to Los Aztecas again, as we have every few months. This time the food was absolutely sub-standard. Poblano was small and tough, and the coating was rubbery. I can't decided if it was freezer burned or if the chili was dried and rehydrated. The chimichangas were rubbery and tasteless. And the prices have increased too much since my first review. We've seen the decline and hoped it to be a phase, but we won't be back. OLD REVIEW: Most other restaurants will make a chili poblano with half a chili, meat and a thick, almost too rich cheese sauce on the top. Los Aztecas serves up an entire, large poblano with just the right amount of delicious ground beef, dipped in egg, fried and then topped with a delicious sauce that is perfectly balanced. You actually want to lick the remainders of the sauce off the plate when you're done nom noming the succulent poblano. There were several issues with our meals, I was not pleased. The salsa that is given with chips, was watery and daughter says it tasted like ketchup. I ordered beef burrito supreme along with taco rice and beans. The only reason it was"supreme" status is because of the sour cream & the shredded lettuce that was plopped on top. The burrito was one of their regular small sized plus the sour cream was hard and would not even mix correctly. So I basically paid extra 2 to 3 dollars for the lettuce and sour cream. The kids meal order was chicken fingers and fries. There idea of chicken fingers is one of the cheap breaded patties you get in bulk that don't resemble a chicken breast with weird taste. April 2nd buy a lunch-fajitas steak $10.95 Tha guy was pushing for facial 14.95 wich is dinner. But I say no is lunch Fajitas. So tha is what I get for friend sick tha day!
