Nick's Italian Kitchen — Restaurant in Buena Vista

The building is a little run down and needs some TLC... however I was impressed with the cleanliness. Usually a rundown building equates to dirty.... not the case here. Everything was as clean as possible. The bathroom was the cause for the deduction in a star. It really needs attention.... NOT DIRTY.... it's barely functional. The toilet seat wobbles really bad, the toilet paper dispenser is coming off the wall and it is super tiny from toilet to wall. The tile is broken on the back wall behind the sink. That was my only real complaint. The food was filling. Ine thing I will say is the menu does state they only give one refill on soda.. that is not an issue with me because I didn't finish my 2nd drink but just a heads up.. The waitress was very nice...

I grew up here in Buena Vista as a kid but moved away for 30 years to find myself back here again this past April. Although I did not try the food unfortunately my blood pressure was way up because of hard times so I went into the restaurant to borrow a phone to call the ambulance do to not having mine charged at that moment. The blonde manager Lady obviously was stereotyping me and seemed to be trying to embarrass me for even needing a phone to call 911. Visiting the area and had a car full of hungry people so we stopped at Nick’s for an early dinner. We were not disappointed!! The waitress and cook were both extremely pleasant and spoke to us as if they’ve known us forever. The food came out quick, piping hot, and DELICIOUS!
