Replying to @kailehman3 Rugelach is a traditional Jewish pastry originating from Eastern Europe. It’s made by rolling a cream cheese or sour cream dough around various fillings such as chocolate, cinnamon, or fruit jams. These bite-sized treats have become popular worldwide, cherished for their flaky texture and rich, sweet fillings. Shalom Kosher Bakery is a family-owned bakery located at 1165 N Arlington Heights Rd, Buffalo Grove, IL 60089. Since opening its doors in 1995, this bakery has been a staple in the community, known for its high-quality kosher baked goods. All products are made in-house in a nut-free, dairy-free facility, ensuring they meet kosher dietary standards. Popular items include their challah bread, coffee cakes, and of course, their delectable rugelach. I recently tried their cinnamon apricot and chocolate rugelach, and they were absolutely amazing! The combination of buttery, flaky dough with sweet, rich fillings makes for a perfect treat. For more information or to place an order, you can reach Shalom Kosher Bakery at (847) 808-9300 or visit them at shalombakerybg.com. They are open on Tuesday and Thursday from 8 AM to 12 PM, Friday from 7 AM to 12 PM, and Sunday from 8 AM to 12 PM. #Rugelach #ShalomKosherBakery #BuffaloGrove #KosherBakery #JewishPastry #FoodieFinds #caresnone

I would think twice before buying something from this place. If I had the option to give negative rating, I would give it -5 star rating. Really low customer service, the pricing is ridiculously high. This needs to be really high high quality desert for the price paid. But this is the worst one I ever tried in my life and some of them even came empty. Bad is everything: the way that they look the design and the flavor. It’s like stone.

LOVE, LOVE, LOVE! Wonderful people, wonderful bakes, wonderful prices. We struggle to keep ourselves from a chocolate coffee cake and a couple bags of bagels every week. Just had our first birthday cake ordered from there - absolute perfection. If you have nut, dairy, or egg restrictions of any kind this is THE place!

In short: a small nut free, dairy free, cash only, bakery tucked away in a shopping center. Delicious custom ordered sheet cake, less fruit filling than expected. Amazing rugelach tasted like a crisp apple pie. Customer service from Liat and cashier was responsive and attentive.

Details: I ordered a custom half sheet cake for my son's birthday recently. Although the bakery doesn't have a direct website or online brochure, a quick Facebook direct message, or phone call, with Liat helped provide all the options and details I needed to pick the perfect cake.

On the morning of my pickup, I found out the cake had flowers rather than the balloons and confetti that I had ordered (cashier showed me the paper order which stated balloons and confetti). The cashier felt terrible, but was the only one available, so she did the next best thing and gave us some cookies and rugelach on the house to make up for the small mistake! I didn't mind the flowers, but she insisted on keeping our business, which I would have after the great customer service and taste of the pastries and cake; and the pastries...delectable. The sheet cake half chocolate/half vanilla was smooth and the non dairy whip cream was light and balanced with the fresh strawberries. Only downside on the cake was that there wasn't as many strawberries as expected, but still delicious. The rugelach was also mouth watering, as it tasted like a crisp apple pie.

Overall, definitely coming back here again; next time, trying out the...

Shalom Kosher Bakery is the only place I order from for baked good!!! I feel like I am part of their family, as everyone is the nicest and most wonderful to work with on planning desserts for entertainment. From cakes to cookies to breads and bagels, EVERYTHING is amazingly delicious. I love that they cater to all allergies as people in my family have life threatening allergies to dairy and can enjoy eating their fantastic baked goods and not have to worry. I definitely recommend going their to see for yourself what a wonderful bakery...

This is a wonderful business. They bake delicious things, and it is kosher. They also sell unbaked dough for Challah bread so you can braid it yourself. It was an experience for my kids when they were little to drive there because they got to pick out some cookies when we picked up our order. They are on Buffalo Grove Road on the SE side of the intersection. You can take 53 to get most of the way there. I highly recommend them. It is the authentic kosher bakery experience so many...
