This was my 1st time & I was also visiting from out of town.I ordered online at 4:59pm online from the website.Theres was a door dash direct to where you could do pick up.My time for pick up said 5:50-5:55.I thought that was quite a long wait but I was excited to try it out.I arrived early just to go in & check out the other items while I waited.I was not greeted at all.No one asked if I needed help. The staff seemed to be mostly younger. This is not to say young people do not have good work ethic, but when I went to ask the young man if the door dash timing was accurate he seemed to not know & also did not seem as though he wanted to be bothered.I sat waiting at a table for 37 minutes no one ever asked what order I was waiting on.I went back up & asked a young lady with braids about the timing for the orders on door dash direct to see if maybe I would get a more clear answer. She then went to the cook and asked. When she came back she had asked what I ordered.I showed her on the mobile order. My order had been sitting there on the counter the entire time I was waiting.I try my best to give businesses a chance. However the customer service was disappointing. The young adults cellphones were out & just no engagement.I noticed once the Supervisor or maybe owner came out on to the floor she was attentive. But there would need to be 6 more of her in there. She greeted & assisted customers as they walked in.I do wish my experience...
Read moreLong Review Alert ⚠️📢 As I've been on a Rollercoaster ride of a journey searching out great food and unique experiences, I've been met with some awe-inspiring bites and some less than lackluster plates. From Saratoga Springs all the way to Honolulu, I've had my share of great foods. Things changed about 20 years ago when I gave up red-meat and pork in my diet. Limiting my adventures to seafood and fowl/poultry.
Most recently, due to medical reasons I've had to cut back even more. Which led me to Sunshine Vegan today. It's normally cook my own lunch, but today I decided to venture out. I'M SO GLAD I DID.
I was greeted promptly and pleasantly in this quaint eastside Buffalo gem. I opted for The Kick A** Burger 🍔 and it was just that... Phenomenal. If someone served this to me without revealing where it came from, I would've bet my bottom dollar I was eating a Bacon Cheese Burger made with 🐄 & 🐖. The Impossible Burger was cooked to perfection. The toppings added a crisp freshness. I substituted the fries for cabbage and that was clean and delicious; void of the typical smoked meat soul food flavor I've grown tired of. And, last but not least, I washed it all down with the Green Monster fruit and vegetable juice.
All in all, this was a great lunch experience. I'll definitely be back to try more menu items, or at least swinging back by for a Burger or 2.
Thank you so much!...
Read moreI wanted to like this place, was super excited when I read through the menu. I looked at the menu online beforehand and decided I wanted the sunrise breakfast because that sounded good. I liked the sound of the hotcakes and the sausage patty. When I went to the restaurant and ordered, I said to the lady I wanted the sunrise breakfast and at first she misheard me and put in the sunrise wrap. I noticed this mistake on the register, and so I said for the second time I wanted the sunrise breakfast and she was like ok, and changed it. When the food came out, I didn’t notice at first that anything was wrong (other than the fact that the potatoes were VERY salty), but when I tried what I thought were the hot cakes, I realized they just tasted like heavily salted bread (was not good) and that’s when I realized they weren’t hotcakes at all, they were bread, and the restaurant had given me the big sunrise breakfast or something rather than the sunrise breakfast I ordered. We tried to remedy this at the restaurant, I asked if I could just get the hotcakes rather than the full breakfast since I’d already eaten from the wrong breakfast they’d brought out because I didn’t realize. Unfortunately they refused and I’m kind of upset because the food was really expensive and we even left an $18 tip. I’m usually for supporting vegan restaurants but I’m not sure...
