FRIENDS BUFORD GRILL — Restaurant in Buford

I really hate to leave this message as we have been loyal customers to Friends for over 10 years. We used to frequent the location in Suwanee regularly before it closed.

I am not sure what happened. Is this place owned by the same people? We ordered food tonight (to go) and I was appalled at what we received. This is the second time I have been unhappy with the quality of the food. Which is the reason I’m deciding to leave a review.

Like I said I really hate to leave this review because the wings used to be so good.

The lemon pepper wings that I received tonight looked like they had been scorched. I mean like they were burned bad. The picture I’m posting doesn’t show how burnt they were thanks to lighting.

My husbands wings were super tiny and overcooked. And my onion rings were over cooked as well.

I truly hate to say this but this will be my last time eating at Friends. The quality of the service and the food has totally changed. You all have lost loyal customers.

I went there today with my office for our lunch break. We were the first one's to arrive at 12 noon. We ordered right away due to our time limit for lunch and the waitress was aware of that as well. We started seeing a crowd come in after us about 10-15 minutes or so; they got there food right away. We were still seating and waiting for 50 minutes. While other customers were greeted; served; etc. We had to get our order to go and that took another 15-20 minutes; not one time did the waiter apologize to us for the horrible service. We had to keep asking each waiter there what is the hold up with our order if we were there first. Over all HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE WE ALL AGREED TO NEVER GO THERE AGAIN!! I hope no one after us have to experience what we went through today. Also when we asked why it took so long for JUST OURS. She stated "I don't know; maybe because they only have one cook". I said there is no way that it is just one cook; when everyone else in the restaurant has food with 10 minutes of ordering but us. Poor excuse for the service...

One of the reasons my godfather and I chose this place was because of the options for gluten-free menu before a concert across the street. Typical sports bar on the inside, we sat at a table by a window which I was disappointed to see a regular bottle of ketchup and mayonnaise at considering it does have to be refrigerated. So we did have to ask for new bottles since they were clearly out for a while warm and we did not want to get sick. I notified the server of my gluten allergy, while it is not celiac, it is still an allergy and I was very disappointed. Disappointed. After ordering my entree and taking one bite checking in with the server, she had to go back to the cooks to clarify and they did not make the gluten-free option, gluten-free and I ultimately asked for a new server because I was not willing to continue to engage with the lack of incompetence after I made it very clear.
