You will want to read this all the way to end. It's shocking! I asked our waitress if there was a vegetarian option. I was told that any one of the burgers below could be substituted with an impossible burger. We thought wonderful many options. But nooo, Only if you want to pay an extra six dollars on top of the already ungodly expensive $16-$18 burger to begin with. Yes, you heard me right $24 for a vegetarian impossible burger. The same hamburger you can get at Burger King for six bucks. The same impossible burger you can go over to Costco and buy a pack of them . The owners wife tried gaslighting me by telling me that the reason for the huge up charge was because the ingredients for the impossible burger were more expensive. I'm sorry folks, but an impossible burger is an impossible burger, no matter where you get it from. They buy these frozen they're not making them. You can also get any hamburger made with mushroom caps at an extra five dollars, bison for eight dollars more, chicken , five dollars more and turkey five dollars more. So if you want any one of those kind of meats you will be paying around $24 for your burger they do not sub they just charge you more. Huge, huge rip off. I spoke to the owners wife, she really could care less, and explain to her. I have never heard of anyone charging an extra six dollars on top of the already high price to get a vegetarian burger. I said if you're going to charge me an extra six dollars for that impossible burger meat then I want the original hamburger patty that I should've got to begin with , Or I would like my six dollars back. So just to be petty she decided that she was going to give me the hamburger patty , instead of my six dollars. Now I know why ,when I saw the hamburger patty it was a complete joke , it was about $.75 cents worth of meat. The kids burger at McDonald's has more meat than this sad little Patty and this is what they are charging you $16-$18 for. She knew that it was better for her to give me the $.75 cents worth of hamburger meat then to give me my six dollars back. She just lost all our business over six bucks. I had a chicken sandwich that had the most salty ham on it, and a slab of extremely hard pineapple, which I had to take off because I just couldn't eat it. There was so much secret sauce thrown onto the sandwich that the bun became impossible to eat, and I never did taste the chicken in the sandwich again , pounded out extremely small piece of sliver of chicken . The same with the other hamburger that was ordered at the table way too much sauce thrown on it and the impossible burger the same thing , way too much sauce. Everyone at the table thought the fries were OK, I thought they were just OK. We also got two milkshakes. They are glorious to look at, but in all truthfulness, Burger, 21 has much better milkshakes at half the price. These milkshakes are about 12 bucks or more apiece. I wouldn't say they are fabulous tasting, but they are fabulous to look at. Again cheap ingredients. Just a lot of whip cream ,not a lot of milkshake. I had two of the cocktails off the special menu because it was a pop-up bar. Again they looked cool one was supposed to have strawberry purée which it did not. It just had a strawberry stuck in it with a bunch of Sierra mist, and some alcohol the second one, well, let's just say that was a waste of 10 bucks. When you can go to Ruth's Chris steak House and get a prime steak burger for $16 , Or Burger 21 and get a choice of wonderful burgers without the up charge, why would anyone go here? There's a million bars in this town folks. This place is just not worth it. Will I be back? Absolutely not! We ALL are done! Now I know why they are called over the top. Because they are over the...

So this evening was my daughter's birthday. In my house on your birthday, you pick what you want to eat, we can go out, or I will cook whatever. This year, she said she wanted a burger from somewhere new. After a quick Google search and asking for recommendations from some of my coworkers, we selected Over The Top Burger Bar. It was about 20 miles from the house, but birthdays are worth the ride, and honestly, it was a smooth and quick ride from the Snellville area. We all glanced at the menu online before leaving the house, so we knew kind of what to expect. Walking in just after 6:00 on a Thursday evening, I wasn't expecting too much of a wait, and there wasn't one either. As we sat throughout the evening, the tables filled up a bit. I wouldn't say it ever got busy. As soon as we were seated our server, Dennis was over to get our drink order. He was great, just the right amount of interaction. He was available to answer questions about the menu as well as recommendations. We never felt rushed or smothered by too much attention, which can happen when a place is slower. Since this was my daughter's birthday, she got the Chocolate Overload Milkshake and the New School Elvis Burger with a side of slaw. My son did the New York Mac and the Oreo Bomb Milkshake. My wife ordered the poutine fries, and I got the Bufford Blue Burger with fries and an order of the Soy Sesame Green Beans.

The milkshakes were huge, and the finishes were quite sweet. Though once you got into the actual shake, they seemed a little thin. They were good. What we did not know going in and before we ordered was that Thursdays are half priced milkshakes, plus since it was my daughter's birthday, her shake was free.

The mac and cheese itself was really good, and the pepperoni that was in it was good, but together, it was a bit different, according to my son. He said it was good, just different from the normal run of the mill mac and cheese you typically get as bar food.

My wife said the poutine was really good, the fries were crispy, the cheese curds were fried well, and the brown gravy was tasty. She did say that the gravy was poured right in the middle of the fries, so it was hard to get everything mixed in order to get that perfect bite, but once you did, it was awesome.

Now the burgers. At a place named the over the top burger bar, we were expecting a lot. We were not disappointed. With that being said, when the burgers were brought to the table, they looked kind of dry. I did not add any additional condiments. The toppings for the Bufford are kind of light. But once I bit into it, this burger was anything but dry. The patties were jucy, the blue cheese was just the right amount, too much or too little. By the time I was halfway through the burger, there was a puddle on the tray. The Elvis Burger was kind of the same thing. However, my daughter said it was a bit on the dryer side. She ended up taking the plantains off of the burger, she said it made the burger skew more sweet.

Overall, it was a good experience, and we will definitely go back. They had music bingo tonight and every Thursday. Along with karaoke and trivia on other nights, it is a good place to go out for a fun night out. It is a burger bar, and the bar was nice. There was a good selection of drinks. But that being said, since my kids are not that young anymore, they were cool with the bar atmosphere. The one thing everyone agreed on was that the music did get a little on the loud side. Had the place been more busy, it may not have been as noticeable. The actual music being played was...

We enjoyed this place but I'll list the pros & cons

Pros: Great drink menu attached Gigantic shakes Large burgers Badass drink list Lots of tvs Beer selection

Cons: Patty meat of burger only comes well-done. Server never asked if we wanted another temp. In addition, the burgers rely heavily on it's ingredients because the patty itself is dry/burnt with very little flavor. The other ingredients carry the burger, so think pimento cheese, jalapeno chutney, blue cheese etc are just a few of the different set ups for the burger. If you got the unoriginal burger, it's not very good. However we did enjoy the other burgers because we enjoy toppings, but we couldn't eat the patty by itself.

Sweet tea- definitely not sweet enough the time we went. You need to be able to chew your sweet tea with how much sugar it should have LOL

Music - Sundays they do jazz music so if you don't like loud music, I'd recommend going when there isn't a band. I saw so many families with kids super close to the live bands, & the kids were crying because the music was too loud. I felt so bad for them.

Bathrooms- completely filthy apparently when we went. My husband felt a little concerned that the bathrooms were not taken care of during slow time (we were there 3-4 so between lunch and dinner rush)

Overall, there are pretty even pros & cons, but for us, the cons are reason enough for us to stick with to go. We did try To-go a few days ago, & unfortunately they forgot to include the gravy & sauces for the meals. Not a big deal but still a little disheartening so check your bags!

The time we dine in, the server was very friendly & knowledgeable. He didn't forget anything & our food came out without any mishaps. Plus the shake was really freaking cool.

Lastly, if you are self conscious about covid, I don't think I'd recommend this place for you. No one wore a mask & we could see kitchen staff coming out with food with no mask.

Now I understand if you are vaccinated, then most should not worry about wearing a mask however there was a few things that still raised red flags for us.

I didn't see the warning from Georgia dictating if you enter at your own risk, blah blah blah that says they aren't responsible if you get COVID-19. I might have missed it but it's usually right by the front door. I'm sure it was somewhere but ideally it should be easily visible as soon as you walk in.

Usually you can tell when a restaurant took preemptive measures during COVID-19 because you'll see leftovers from that time. Example: by installing hand sanitizer station by the door, walls, bathrooms etc. You'll see the plastic screen still set up to seperate people. Honestly, I didn't see any of this so it makes me wonder how much sanitizing they did during the peak of COVID-19

No spacing between bar chairs so people could sit next to each other pretty closely which if your are vaccinated, is okay.

I will say this, tables were spaced pretty far apart so that might have been their preemptive measure. We didn't feel cramped or anything.

I hope this helps! Overall we would love to get the food to go & it's a pretty cool place with such a...
