Rocky's Tails & Shells — Restaurant in Bunkie

The food is very good. But to order takeout you have to order at the BAR. How CRAZY. I went there for the 1st time and had my 3 children. 12, 6, and 5 years old. It was getting late for children and I had to get us something to eat. Rockys was recommended. The " girls" working in the back were the rudest and meanest people I believe I've met thus far. They said the children couldn't sit on the stools and I agree. But one should not have to go to a bar for takeout. I made my children get off the stools then told they couldn't stand by the bar. I told them I agree kids should not have to come back here to get an order. Told them they should have something set up to the side or somewhere else to order. Then they started telling me my kids had to go sit up front or another room off to the side. Do they have Tv's? Does someone need to teach them about child trafficking? Or do they just not care? I stood my ground and told them my children were NOT leaving my side. With all this they were not wanting to let me pay and after that wouldn't puck up my receipt. So glad that I found this little place... After the absolute terrible meal I had at the other place up by the interstate. Really neat looking building brilliant drive-thru and the staff was fantastic. My waitress was funny, with a big smile and fast service. It was kind of late and I didn't want anything heavy so I decided to do a bowl of seafood gumbo and of course it came with a bowl of rice, so I ordered a few hush puppies to eat with it. The gumbo was the lovely dark room with lots of flavor, wish it had been a little bigger but that's probably all I needed and it made me save room for a piece of turtle cheesecake. This will be where I eat every night when I'm in bunkie from now on. I might even try the hotel as it's directly across the street. Oh yeah and one of the pictures was the inside of the men's bathroom that I thought was really cool looking, looks like you're in the top nosebleed section of a large stadium... Thank you it was a pretty cool idea for a men's restroom. I highly recommend this and I look forward to going back and trying something...

The Crawfish was excellent but I ordered at 4 they told me to pick up at 4:30 and I was there. At 4:30 they told me it would be another 20 minutes and at 5:05 they told me my order was made to be picked up at 5. That’s not true. No one ever said that. 5:00 was never said. I ordered it and I never said I would be there at any time what so ever to pick it up. They said it would be ready to pick up at 4:30. I finally walked out of there at 5:20. Now listen things happen. I understand things don’t always work out to pick things up That I was given a time to pick it up. My issue is they strait up lied to my face and said I SAID I WOUKD BE THERE FOR FUVE.
