The heart of Charming Thai is its incredibly talented chef, Niki, who is deeply invested in providing the best possible food. His love for his native cuisine shines through in every plate, as he meticulously crafts dishes using specialized ingredients like pickled young black pepper (still on the stem- this is something I had never experienced outside of Asia), fresh Thai chilies, and Thai basil. His commitment to authenticity is evident in the weekly regional specials, which are not only time-intensive to prepare but also showcase the rich deep exotic pleasure of Thai cuisine. Each dish tells a story, offering a glimpse into the flavors and traditions of Niki's region in Thailand. He also makes the expected dishes of drunken noodle and pad Thai - he has commented that he is not passionate about making these dishes as they are too simple and easy. But drunken noodle is a favorite of mine and Niki's drunken noodle is easily my all time favorite! And that is saying A LOT! I have had drunken noodle from all over the US, even Michelin restaurants in Asia. Beyond the food, the service at Charming Thai is nothing short of exceptional. The hostess, JJ, is a true master of hospitality, seamlessly managing the staff while making every customer feel like they are the most important guest in the restaurant. No matter how busy the restaurant gets, she ensures that each diner receives personalized attention, creating an atmosphere of warmth and genuine care. I have occasionally felt that some customers are not used to this level of care and do not deserve it. Some people don't know the correct response to temporarily becoming the most important person in another's eyes. You may be be treated like royalty. But some people are abusive no matter their standing. The only thing there is to complain about is how sometimes all the dishes are not brought to the table at the same time. It's because EACH DISH IS FRESHLY MADE! Can you or anyone you know make 3-10 different dishes simultaneously? (If you foresee this being a concern to you - get take out) In addition to their outstanding Thai dishes, Charming Thai offers a variety of bubble tea drinks, sushi, and typical Asian cuisine like ramen, all prepared with the same level of quality and attention to detail. First time visiting after reading some positive reviews. These are new owner of a previous Asian establishment. Ordered the Crispy Pad Thai which was recommended. Dish was nothing I expected. Like eating raw vermicelli noodles out of a box. Zero flavor, no sauce and very very greasy. I explained to the waitress this was not very appealing and that I was unable to eat. She offered no apology nor did they offer to make me another dish as a substitute. I literally left the entire plate of food. The only thing offered was a take home box. Ridiculous! They lost a new customer and likely many more as we won’t be recommending to friends or community. The place was empty, we were the only table to serve. They have only been open for 3 months. A few days ago, it was pouring rain and super windy out of nowhere. However I decided to pickup food from Charming Thai so I could try it for the first time. As soon as I got there, it was super adorable. Very warm and welcoming atmosphere. I walk in to pickup my order and am greeted by a gentleman at the counter. I'm about to walk out into the rain but instead he goes to grab an umbrella and holds it for me, walking out in the rain himself, but making sure I stay dry getting to my car. It was such an unexpected act of kindness. On top of that, the food was amazing. I tried 2 things, I've never once had before. So I was preparing myself to maybe not like it. But no need, it was delicious. If you're thinking about trying this place out, do it!!
