UPDATE: Myself and my daughter visited on a Monday. It was just she and I in the cafe- The person attending the register was very indifferent towards us. I don't know how else to better explain it- and maybe she was having a bad day. Or Maybe she is shy, and comes off as Meh towards customers. No interaction at all. Kinda felt like we were being judged.
I did not find it necessary to introduce myself (as mentioned below)- we were just there to enjoy a Mother-Daughter lunch together.
Ordered lunch- Daughter loved her burrito- said she would get it again. I had a taste, and it was pretty dang tasty with the pickled onions. I ordered the Chicken and Waffles- small portion, and the waffle was a little more cooked than I would have liked.
Coffee after lunch- My daughter got a July special and enjoyed it. I ordered the Rose Cardamom- pretty tasty and very floral forward.
The Blackberry Jam soda from the case was really good.
I'm in and have been in the industry for a long time- It's tough!... Customer service is everything.
Beautiful Space! The potential is there when the kinks get worked out.
I had ordered an Americano- The price on the board was 4.50-
I was charged 6.50, plus an additional .50 for ice. I had asked why there was a price difference, I then was asked; what size did you want? ...The size listed on the menu board, but iced and the shot on the side ( I had wanted to taste the Espresso and then add the remainder of the shot to the ice myself; basically a deconstructed Americano- nothing extra, no extra shots, no milks etc.)
The espresso was sour and just needed to be checked and re-dialed in- not a big deal. The owner? manager? probably should have stopped to help the overwhelmed baristas. The wait time was a bit long for what people were ordering. I'm sure it will get better as everyone is more trained and they have their flow going.
I so badly wanted to try the Espresso since they roast in house and this is their Gig!
$6.50- for 2oz of Espresso, Ice, water in an 8oz (hot) paper cup is a bit pricey for an espresso shot, water and a few cubes of ice. No milk, nothing at all extra.
I'll try them again, just...

Read moreThis coffee shop is such a gem! The inside is absolutely beautiful - warm, cozy, and welcoming the moment you walk in. Everyone who works here is so kind and genuine, and you can really feel the good energy in the space.
The food is incredible. Everything tastes fresh and made with care, and you can tell they use high-quality ingredients. The coffee is hands down the best; they grind their own beans fresh right there, and you can truly taste the difference in every sip. It is flavorful and has the perfect ratios (which can be hard to find).
The owner is so sweet and clearly passionate about what she does. She even took the time to tell us about her business, how she sources from small local vendors, and how she supports black, queer, and woman-owned businesses. You can tell she really cares about both her craft and her community.
It’s the kind of place you leave feeling happier than when you walked in....
