The Main Event — Restaurant in Burlington

No doubt a very nice bar. This review is based upon the nighttime food. They close the grill down before my girlfriend and I place our take out order (always around 10:30pm-11pm) which is no big deal because we order fryer food. We have been ordering like once a week recently. There are so many mess up when ordering at night sometimes, the fries are usually not crispy but soft and undercooked, our chicken gets slightly undercooked EVERYTIME. Just tonight we ordered and they gave mild instead of hot wings undercooked, and completely screwed us on the amount of fries.here were only 2 people sitting at the bar, its not like it was busy at all. If the food was cooked a little more at night and the order itself was correct, this would be a five star review.

Happened 01-10-22 at approximately 10:30pm

Tried to order some food for pick up and once again kitchen is closed super early....

Very poor customer service, bar maybe had 15 people in when I went in. You have to go up to the bar to order food no biggie but blonde hair server was rude right of the bat. I had menu in hand and she cut me off of order to ask if I was going to order a drink. I said yes 3 cookps she took down my order. Then 50 mins later customers who came in after us, were being served while my little party of three watched are meals sit on counter I went up to grab food and blond hair server looked at me like a ghost and grabbed other peoples food to serve them. Felt as if since I was sitting at dinning table drinking sodas I was not worth her time! Still after 18 dollar meals and 3 of them she would have gotten a tip. I left a 20 at the bar for 3 cokes. And will never return to that bar. Never even got my food as it was placed on ledge behind the bar. Even noticed the cook was getting eratted...

I have to say, John's Main Event was a very pleasant experience! It's nice that this covid thing seems to be under control, and being vaccinated not having to wear a mask!

I had the burger and a side salad, my wife had the Patty melt! The bartender which was amazing, whipped everything up quickly. I wish I asked her name. 4 genuine drafts and a Pepsi and the House special hard lemonade mix, was fantastic. Atmosphere very enjoyable, no idiots hanging around even though the bar was full.

I've done plenty of security work at different clubs over the years, and it brought back some good memories! A very pleasant and must stop location for anyone not from the area!
